My Monthly Favourites - August 2015

Hey guys, I'm back with another installment of monthly favourites for you! I have to admit I'm pretty sad that August has come to and end and we have now entered into September. This officially means that our summer is officially over! Soon enough, I'm going to have to start thinking about updating my wardrobe for autumn and donning a coat every time I leave the house - boooo! Moaning aside, however, August enabled me to fall in love with some new products and rediscover an old favourite too. So, let's see what I have been loving throughout the past four weeks!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - £38.00
It's never been a secret that my favourite UD palette has always been the Naked 2, as cool toned eyeshadows suit me a lot more that warm ones do! However, this month I have been turning to my Naked 3 palette a lot more than usual. Sometimes I just fancy wearing pink hues on my lids instead! A few of my most loved shadows within this gorgeous palette have been 'Limit,' which is a great crease shade, and 'Darkside' or 'Blackheart' for when I have been creating dramatic night time looks. As I'm sure you're all aware by now, these shadows have amazing staying power and pigmentation, which is why this palette has been such a holy grail for me throughout August!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Lip Stain in LA Exclusive - £8.99
Next up is a bit of a rediscovery for me, as I was raiding my lip product collection the other day and came across this lip stain from Revlon. I used to wear this shade so much back in the day and I'm so happy that I have started using it again. Not only is the formula of the Moisture Stain range incredible due to it's buttery and non-sticky consistency but 'LA Exclusive' is such a flattering colour on my skin tone. The only way I can describe it is as a muted and paler Barbie pink! I highly recommend this shade and the entire range of colours in general, so be sure to give them a little swatch in store next time you're in Boots or Superdrug.

NARS Translucent Loose Setting Powder - £26.50
As some of you may know, my parents got me a little NARS kit with a few products in for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! Although, I was a little dubious of using a loose powder as I had never used one before. However, now I have fallen in love with using this translucent powder to set my under eye concealer. I used to apply my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte all over but using a different powder for under my eye makes me feel so fancy! Now that have become accustomed to this new technique, I really want to buy another loose powder that will brighten up my eye area instead of using this one that has no colour to it.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Turn On - £13.50
Of course, lip pencils have become very popular again over the past year or so and I heard that the 24/7 Urban Decay range were top notch. So, this year I have purchased two of them! My favourite shade is 'Turn On,' which i the most stunning blue-toned pink! It certainly packs a punch colour wise but it isn't too over the top and that's why I love it so much. It makes a nice change when I don't want to wear a nude lip during the daytime! I also love the formula of these pencils so much; they are super duper creamy and comfortable to wear. Plus, they have great longevity too!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shine Revitaliser Shampoo - £2.79
Last but not least, I normally use a shampoo that adds volume or thickness to my fine and lacklustre hair but I feel that can build up a horrible residue in my hair from time to time. So, when I want to use a more lightweight and clarifying shampoo, I have been using this one from Garnier. The whole Ultimate Blends range seems to be very popular right now as it gets the job done and you cannot beat the price point! I love the lemon and green tea scent too as it's so refreshing and uplifting in the mornings. It also adds some shine and life back into my hair when it's feeling dull from my volume shampoo as well!

So, those are my favourites from the month of August. I have loved using them and would highly recommend them to all of my followers! Now, I cannot wait to see what September brings and what I will enjoy using next. What have been you favourite products this month? Have you used any of my favourites before? Let me know by leaving a comment down below!

My Monthly Favourites - August 2014

Hi guys, I cannot believe that it's September tomorrow! Like always, this month has flown by and I am very sad that it is now the end of summer here in England. Throughout the month of August, I have discovered a lot of new products that I have been loving and it was very hard to pick my favourites this month. However, with that being said, I managed to narrow it down to five great products - let's get started!

Alberto Balsam Sunkissed Raspberry Herbal Shampoo - £1.00
First up, I have recently discovered this shampoo from Alberto Balsam. Up until now, I have been using John Frieda's Luxurious Volume Shampoo to aid my fine hair but it is quite expensive per bottle. So, I wanted to find an alternative shampoo that I could use for everyday use. Not only does this shampoo smell amazing (I love raspberry scents) but it does an excellent job at giving my roots a deep clean, as my fine hair can get greasy quickly. I find the formula to be really nourishing too and my hair always feels silky soft! However, the best part of this shampoo is that it only £1 from my local Savers, but the product itself feels of a much higher quality than its worth.

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in LA Exclusive - £7.99
Next is this super popular new product from Revlon, their ColorStay Moisture Stain lip glosses. I 'm not going to go into too much detail because I recently did a full review of this product here but all I will say is that this product is amazing! The formula is buttery, the pigmentation is on point and I love the fact that after the gloss wears off, you are left with a nice and even stain. I have been wearing LA Exclusive (a vivid baby pink) almost every day since I bought it, it's a great daytime shade!

Lush Dark Angels Cleanser - £6.40
Again I posted a more in depth review of this product here on my blog on Thursday, so I am going to keep this review short and sweet! Dark Angels is a charcoal-based cleanser that is super exfoliating and is great at balancing out oily skin. Ever since I tried out a tester of this product a few months ago, I fell in love with it and I knew that I had to buy the full-size! The following day after using Dark Angels, my skin is always looks a lot clearer and fresher. This cleanser is rapidly becoming one of my favourites!

Urban Outfitters Nail Polish in Prince - £6.00
This nail varnish was a gift from my friend Lucy for my 20th birthday a few months back. I was really intrigued to use this polish because I have never tried any Urban Outfitters polishes in the past. Not only is the bright, almost neon purple colour gorgeous but it gives a really glossy finish too. Of course, it's not the most long wearing polish in the world but with a good top coat it lasts a decent amount of time. However, that doesn't phase me too much because the shade is just too striking to resist!

Vaseline Spray & Go Cocoa Radiant Moisturiser - £4.99
Last but not least is this very handy Spray & Go Moisturiser by Vaseline (read my full review here.) I am very lazy when it comes to body moisturisation, so this product has been a godsend for me this month. Due to it being so easy and quick to use, I am now moistursing every day and am really enjoying do so. The formula sinks into the skin really quickly which means that it is not sticky and you can get dressed immediately after applying it. Plus, the fact that it also smells like cocoa butter is an added bonus too!

So, that's it favourites wise for this month. I hope you've enjoyed reading about what I have been loving throughout August! What have been your favourite products this month? Have you used any of the products mentioned in my post before? Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

My Month Via Instagram - August 2013

Hi guys, I literally cannot believe that August is over already. it only feels like yesterday that I was sitting at my desk writing about what I was up to during July! Knowing that we are now nine months into 2013 is crazy, the next thing we know it will be Christmas! This month hasn't really been too busy or interesting for me in terms of activities, my life is a little samey at the moment but I still wanted to write this post regardless, as I have been doing so every month since I first started this blog and I can't go breaking tradition now can I?! So,without any further ado, here is what I have been up to throughout the month of August.

1. This is a little bit of a random post but I am proud to say that I have finally found all three variations of Coke bottles with my name on them. When Coca Cola first started doing this advertising technique, they only release the top 100 most popular names in the UK, and my name sadly didn't make the cut as it isn't that popular here. However, they have recently added over 100 more new names and mine was luckily included. Have any of you guys found your names yet? Let me know :)

2. Secondly this month, I went to one of my favourite nightclubs with my friend Sarah. I think it's safe to say that we had a really good time and had a good drink (or several drinks!) Apart from the actual night out itself, one of my favourite things is the process getting ready beforehand. I really loved my outfit this night (I borrowed the bralet from my friend Laura,) as it made me feel really confident. I am definitely an extreme girly-girl who loves spending their time doing their make-up and so on for a night on the town!

3. I recently bought this stunning dress from H&M and I had to share it with you all, as I love it so much. Not only is the dress a bargain, coming in at £14.99, but it's cut-out details are so gorgeous. The cut-outs are both at the side of the dress and atthe front at the top of the stomach area, as you can see in the photo above. It is an extremely flattering dress. They also do the dress in a lovely green colour if that's more up you're alley!

4. I posted this photo on Instagram last weekend as a throwback from 2010 when me and my friend Laura went to Reading Festival for a day. We saw acts such as the likes of Blink 182, Paramore, You Me At Six and many more. Seeing a lot of my friends go to the festival this year made me definitely want to go next year. I spent a lot of my weekend watching the live streams and wishing I was there, sad I know! I hope that I can save up some money and go next year, otherwise I will be very upset! (P.S - I cannot believe how bright and red my hair was back in the day!)

5. This is just a picture I took on a day that me and my Mum went on a girly day out shopping. We spent some mother and daughter time browsing through all of our favourite shops and we found some lovely bits and bobs! We don't often get manyopportunities to spend the whole day together due to my Mums's strange working hours and so I was really happy to spend such a lovely day with her.

6. Last but not least, I spent a really nice day at my friend Sydney's house. As she completed a nail course last year, whenever we hang out she tends to do my nails for me. This time around I went for a gold, glittery Shellac polish and I love it. I hate how often normal nail varnish chips and so Shellac is perfect for me. I haven't posted a picture of my nails to Instagram yet but I am sure I will, so keep your eyes peeled! Afterwards, seeing as it was beautiful sunshine, we decided to do a spot of sunbathing in Sydney's garden. I also think that I made a new friend in her gorgeous dog, Ossie. Isn't he just adorable!

I hope that you have enjoyed reading about what I have been up to this month. Please stay tuned to my blog as I have a lot of content ready to post in the next few weeks. Thank you :)
