My Monthly Favourites - March 2014

Hi guys. It's that time of the month again where I share with all of you what I have been loving beauty wise all throughout March. I have gone a little crazy recently in terms of buying new products - there have been a lot of amazing deals on the high street that were just too good to pass up! Furthermore, a lot of these items are relatively new favourites, apart from one product that I re-discovered and have fallen back in love with. So, without any further ado, let's dive right in!

Dove Go Fresh Nourshing Body Wash Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent - £2.40
First up is a body wash from the Dove 'Go Fresh' collection. After loving one of the other washes in the collection, which was featured in my February favourites (which you can read here,) I decided to give another scent ago. Whilst I was in Sainsbury's recently, there was a half price offer on, so I snapped up two more; Revive and one other scent which I am sure I will talk about on my blog soon. Every product I have ever tried from Dove has been really gentle on the skin and extremely moisturising at the same time, and this product is no exception. However, of course the main reason I love this body wash is the scent. The pomegranate and lemon verbena smells absolutely amazing and is a lovely pick-me-up in the morning. I cannot recommend this range enough!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
Next is a product that has been raved about ever since it's release here in the UK back in January. Both the Revlon Lacquer Balms and Matte Balms have taken the drugstore by storm and it's no surprise as to why - they are seriously amazing! The newest lip crayon in my collection is 'Whimsical,' which is a lovely berry pink/purple shade that contains lots of little flecks of glitter too. Although the glitter can feel slightly grainy on the lips from time to time, it's pretty easy to ignore because the colour pay off and the formulation of this product is great. After it has been on your lips for a while and has started to wear off, Whimsical leaves a subtle stain too the lips too - which is perfect if you are after a product that is long-lasting and great for a night out.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector in Light Matte - £6.99
I have recently done a full review of this product on my blog (read here,) so I am not going to go into too much detail. However, I am seriously in love with this instant tan! I am not an avid tanner and I am always dubious of using fake tan in case it goes horribly wrong, so a wash off one is right up my street! This instant tan and BB cream hybrid gives an amazing bronzed colour to the skin whilst hiding any imperfections really well - such as scarring or uneven skin tone. It glides onto the skin seamlessly and does not cling onto any dry patches of skin, even if you do not exfoliate beforehand - which I accidentally did. For a mere £6.99, this product is definitely worth trying if you like having a tan for special occasions without having the commitment of a fake tan that develops and is ore permanent!

Essie Nail Polish in Splash Of Grenadine - £7.99
All I can say is... this nail polish is gorgeous! This may come as a surprise to some of you but I have only ever owned one Essie nail varnish, which is one of the nail effects glittery top coats. So, this is the first normal Essie product that I have tried. I heard about this colour after watching one of Essiebutton's videos and I wanted to to give it a try immediately. 'Splash Of Grenadine' also reminded me of a L'Oreal Color Riche polish I had that dried out called 'Acid Watermelon,' which is almost identical. This beautiful shade is a vivid orchid colour which is extremely eye-catching and perfect for this time of year. Plus, this colour is deemed to be huge this spring/summer, so this polish will keep you on trend too which is always a bonus!

Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector - £9.99
Last but certainly not least is an old favourite that I re-discovered whilst having a product clear out! Last year, I had a lot of scarring left on my cheeks after multiple ghastly breakouts. So, I decided to look for a product other than Bio Oil that could banish the dark pigmentation left on my skin. Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector was my product of choice and my god, it's amazing! Within weeks, my scarring had gone down significantly and I was left seriously impressed. However, along with correcting dark areas, this moisturiser/serum is great for brightening your entire face too as it features vitamin C in its list of ingredients. The only thing I would say is that this does leave a film of glitter all over your skin, so it is best used at night time unless you want a sparkly base to apply your make-up on top of!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my March favourites, I have definitely fallen in love with all of these products! Have you tried any of these before? What beauty items have you been reaching for this month? Please let me know in the comments below! Thank you :)

Rimmel London's Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector

Hi guys. Now that spring and summer are fast approaching here in the UK, it's time to whip out our skirts and dresses and embrace this wonderful change in weather. However, after hiding away our bodies during the majority of winter, we are probably all a little bit on the pasty side - unless you are a religious fake tanner all year round! After noticing my own paleness ahead of a girls night out, I decided to quickly nip into my local Boots in search of an instant fake tan that didn't break the bank. This is when I came across Rimmel London's Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector (£6.99) and I was intrigued to say the least. Of course we have all heard of BB creams for our faces by now but the thought of a BB body product excited me a lot!

Rimmel claim that this is a 9-in-1 product that softens, smoothes, moisturises, gives an instant tan, creates a healthy looking glow, evens out your skin tone, covers, perfects and lasts up to 24 hours. Now, that is an awfully big list of promises to make but I really do think that it does most of those things pretty well! This new product comes in two shades; Light Matte and Medium Matte. On the back of the packaging is a little table that tells you the intensity and the desired look that you can achieve with both shades. The light version has an intensity level of 1 that gives you a natural sunkissed look, whereas the medium has an intensity level of 2 that achieves a healthy bronzed glow.

I decided to opt for the light version as I didn't want to go too over the top. That night, my friend whom I was going out with helped me apply the product using a tanning mitt. You could use your hands if you prefer, although a tanning mitt does tend to give a nicer, more even finish. Seeing as using this product was a last minute decision on my behalf, I did not have the time to exfoliate and moisturise like I usually would before applying any type of tanning product. However, the creamy and thick texture of the lotion meant that it did not cling on to any dry patches of skin and it glided on seamlessly! With that being said, as well as the two instant tan shades, the brand have also brought out a Sun Shimmer Pre Tan Exfoliator (£3.99) which could come in handy, though any body scrub or exfoliator (or even exfoliating gloves) would do the trick.

All in all, the end result was lovely! Just like Rimmel claimed on the packaging, I got an instant tan that made me look super healthy and that evened out my skin tone, whilst being moisturising and softening at the same time. I am very glad that I decided to go for the light version as the finish was much darker than I first anticipated, meaning that I had to bronze up my face a lot in order for it to match my body - though that was to be expected! The only thing I would say that I do not think that this formula does last for up to 24 hours, although it is still very long wearing and it lasted extremely well seeing as I was in a clubbing environment. The next day, all I had to do to remove the product was simply use a loofah and some shower gel and viola, it was gone!

Unfortunately, no matter I did with my camera, I was not able to get a good swatch of the tan on my hand before and after application, so I have included this photo of me and my friends before we went out instead. I am on the far right and as you can see, despite being a light tan, the outcome was very dark. My friend (far left) uses St Moriz's Dark Mousse Tan (£4.99) and we both look similar in colour here! I'm not sure if I applied the tan a little too thick, so I might try and be really stingy with the amount of product next time to see if I can achieve a more natural look.

Overall, this new Sun Shimmer product has definitely impressed me and I have a feeling I am going to be using it a lot from now on! Have you tried this product yet? What do you think of it? Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below. Thank you!

The Best Of: Soap & Glory

Hi guys. Ever since I can remember, I have always been in love with Soap & Glory as a brand. Their bath, body and skincare products, as well as their make-up range, are such high quality and are very popular due to being available in thousands of Boots stores nationwide. Regardless of their age or skin type, every person I have spoken to about the brand (and myself) have all found multiple products that work really well for them and are now permanent in their everyday beauty routines. So, with that in mind, I have whittled down my five firm favourites from the ever-so raved about brand. Enjoy!

Peaches & Clean 4-in-1 Deep Cleansing Milk - £8.00
First up is a new addition to my skincare regime, Peaches & Clean. My Mum was given a huge Soap & Glory hamper as a gift a while back, so she gave me the products that she knew she wouldn't use herself - she isn't into skincare that much and is a pretty low maintenance woman, unlike myself! This cleanser is absolutely brilliant, so I am very glad that she handed it over to me. It breaks down and removes make-up so well, as well as leaving my skin amazingly soft. It's peach and menthol scent is really refreshing, which means this product is a great pick-me-up in the mornings too. Ever since I have been using Peaches &Clean in conjunction with the Garnier Micellar Water (review here) and my Nivea Rich Moistursing Day Cream (review here,) my skin has cleared up almost entirely and I rarely ever get blemishes. I cannot recommend this cleanser enough!

Heel Genius Amazing Foot Cream - £5.50
I feel that this product is something that Soap & Glory are particularly famous for. This foot cream is absolutely amazing and even after one application. It leaves your feet ten times softer and it gets rid of a lot of dry skin from the soles too. I usually apply this liberally in the evening and then wear some thick cotton socks to allow the product to really sink in overnight. Heel Genius has that typical menthol, minty smell like most foot-related products as it is really refreshing and cooling - especially if you have been on your feet all day. Plus, at £5.50 it is pretty inexpensive considering how high quality it is and how much product you get in the tube too!

Hand Food Hydrating Hand Cream - £5.00
I tend to get really dry hands near the end of the day for some reason and so I always apply some hand cream before bed to revive my hands and leave them feeling as good as new. Hand Food is excellent for this as it is extremely hydrating, (as the name suggests,) plus it sinks in really fast and doesn't leave an oily residue on the hands, like some other brands do. With shea butter, macadamia oil and marshmallow as the main ingredients; it's not hard to imagine how nourishing and rich this product is. It's a definite favourite of mine!

Butter Yourself Five Fruits Super Rich Moisturising Body Cream - £10.50
I first reviewed this product on my blog back in my December Favourites, after being bought this body butter as a Christmas present from my aunt and uncle. Up until that point I had only tried the brands infamous Righteous Butter but I can now say that I much prefer the Five Fruits version. As a lover of fresh and fruity scents as opposed to richer ones, this moisturiser is right up my street. It is very nourishing without being sticky, which means that you do need to wait ages to get dressed after application (which is something that I despise!) Any of the Soap & Glory body butters are a good investment but this one is my personal favourite!

Glow All Out Luminizing Face Powder - £11.00
Last but not least, I first bought this product all the way back in August and even after one application, I fell in love with this highlighter! Glow All Out leaves a lovely, subtle glow when applied to the top of your cheekbones without being too over-powering or glittery. This product is great for achieving just a subtle shimmer, adding dimension to face even during the day time. I really believe that using a highlighter really takes your make-up to the next level, as well as it making your skin look luminous and healthy. A little goes a long way with this product and so it is definitely worth it's £11 price tag. I do not think that I could live without this product now, it's a winner!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about my five favourite Soap & Glory products. Which ones are your favourites? Let me know in the comments below! Also, I am planning on doing some more 'The Best Of' posts, so please let me know which brands you would like to see me talk about in the future. Thank you!

My Blogs 1 Year Anniversary!

Hi guys, today is my blogs one year anniversary and I cannot believe how quickly the months have flown by! I first started this blog as a bit of an experiment and in all honesty, I didn't know what to write about half of the time and my posts were extremely varied. As time went on, however, my blog slowly transformed into a place where I talk about beauty and fashion - two of my passions! Also, as some of you may or may not know, I am currently unemployed due to struggling with anxiety for many years and blogging has given me a creative outlet in which I can really call my own.

Since I started blogging this time last year, I have learnt multiple tips & tricks from so many beauty bloggers that its hard to know where to start. I have learnt way more than I ever expected; from highlighting and contouring to discovering the Real Techniques make-up brushes, I have become so much more educated in the world of beauty and cosmetics.

Not only this, I have been overwhelmed by how supportive the beauty blogging community is! Although my blog is still small, with just over 50 followers, I am so appreciative of every single person who takes time out of their day to read my blog posts. The comments that I receive are always so positive and lovely, which gives me such a boost of confidence knowing that my writing has been well received. I love interacting with other bloggers. In fact, I recently created a separate Twitter account for my blog (@MichaelaLaBlog,) in order to interact even more with fellow bloggers and it's going really well so far. I get a lot of enjoyment out of being able to talk to other beauty fanatics and bonding over our thoughts and opinions of products.

In a nutshell, this post is just to say a HUGE thank you to all of my followers and readers. I am really looking forward to creating many more blog posts in the future and entering my second year of blogging!

Boots 3 for 2 | No7 and Revlon

Hi guys, yesterday I popped into Boots whilst I was in town with my Mum and I just couldn't resist their current 3 for 2 offer on make-up, skincare and haircare. I'm not too sure how long the deal is running for, so I would get in quick if I were you! Knowing that I am pretty set on skincare at the moment and have a solid routine, as well as not being into haircare very much - I decided to head straight for the the make-up aisle. It took me absolutely ages to decide on what to buy because there are some amazing products out right now. However, I finally settled on an old favourite in the form of No7's Extreme Length Mascara and two Revlon lip products that caught my eye. I am extremely happy with my purchases and so, here is a little review of what I think of them so far.

No7 Extreme Length Mascara in Black - £12.50
First up is an old favourite of mine that I discovered near the end of 2012. As I am a girl with very fine, short and sparse lashes, I find it extremely difficult to find a mascara that I like and that actually works well. With that in mind, this mascara does the trick for me even though I had forgotten about it for a long time after discovering Benefit's 'They're Real'. This mascara gives my lashes a lot of length (as the name suggests,) although it does lack on the volume front, so I tend to team it with another mascara to get that perfect lash effect. The small, rubber wand is perfect for making sure that you coat even the smallest of lashes and get right in to those corners. Overall, I highly recommend this product for those with similar lashes to mine. However, I do think I still prefer my Benefit mascara due to it giving that slight bit of volume that the No7 one lacks.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Kiss Me Coral - £6.99
Next up is the product that I was most excited about. I have been hearing great things about this lip gloss range for a while, yet I have never got around to trying it until now. 'Kiss Me Coral' is a beautiful, you guessed it, coral shade which contains lots of tiny glitter particles. I think that this is such a perfect lip colour to wear in spring/summer, which is fast approaching. Not only is the formulation not sticky, the pigmentation of this gloss is great too. I cannot tell you how many times I have bought a coral lip gloss that looks amazing in the packaging, to get home and realise it almost looks transparent on the lips! The only qualm I have with this product is that the doe foot applicator is pretty small and does not hold a lot of product, which means that I have to dip it in a few times to get enough gloss to coat my lips. However, when the colour is this gorgeous, it's a small price to pay!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
Last but not least is one of Revlon's recently released lacquer balms. After having bought one of the matte balms in the collection, Standout, which you can read about here - I decided it was only right for me to try out a lacquer as well. 'Whimsical' is a gorgeous berry pink/purple shade with lots of glitter running through it which gives a lovely effect, although it does feel a little grainy on your lips at times. This colour in particular is a little sheer but with a few coats, it can be built up to quite an opaque colour. As with all of the Revlon balms, Whimsical has a subtle peppermint fragrance which in turn does tingle on the lips when first applied. Although the balms are not as long lasting as the matte ones, it does stay on for around 4 hours and leaves your lips with a nice stain once the shininess has worn away. I love this product and I will certainly be buying more in the future!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about what I purchased as part of Boots' 3 for 2 deal. Have you taken advantage of this deal yet? Have you tried any of these products before? Please let me know in the comments below :)

Mini Lush Haul

Hi guys. Last week, I took a trip to my local Lush store in order to treat myself to a few bits and bobs. Shockingly, up until Christmas I had never tried any Lush products. However, my best friend and my boyfriend both got me some as gifts and from then on, I have become utterly obsessed! I even wrote a post back in January about my first experience with the brand, which you can go and read about here if you are interested. I definitely used to be more of a shower person, but now I much prefer baths because Lush products just make it way more exciting. I just cannot get enough! Knowing that my stash was running out, I knew I had to go into a store myself and grab a few items. Although, believe me, it was a tough decision - I could have bought everything and I was in the store for a very long time! With that being said, I whittled it down to just three products and here is what I think of them.

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar - £2.50
The Creamy Candy Bubble Bar was one of the products my best friend bought me for Christmas and I am in love with it. Out of every Lush item I have smelt or used, this is without a doubt my favourite so far. It has a lovely, sweet candy floss scent which lingers on your skin for hours. The bar also contains almond and cocoa butter which make your skin so soft. It turns your bath water a soft pink colour and creates a good amount of bubbles depending on how much of the bar you use. Sometimes, to get more uses out of Lush bubble bars, I team them with some ordinary bubble bath so I do not need to use as much of the bar each time.

Dragons Egg Bath Bomb - £3.25
Next up is the product that I was most excited about using. The Dragons Egg Bath Bomb smells exactly like lemon sherbet, which is great because I am a huge lover of citrus scents! The bomb itself fizzes and releases lots of different spots of colour, which are hidden inside the bomb, until it finally turns your bath water a vibrant, orangey gold. The bomb also contains a very fine glitter which stays on your skin all day, which makes it extra special in my book! I really enjoyed using this product as its smell is very invigorating and uplifting, I highly recommend it to anybody who likes fruity scents. It is fun to use and has lots of properties that benefit your skin too!

Brightside Bubble Bar - £4.50
Last but not least is the Brightside Bubble Bar, which is part of Lush's newly released Easter range. However, this bubble bar is apparently going to be part of the permanent range because of its popularity. The bar includes the following ingredients which make up its extremely fruity scent: Sicilian mandarin, bergamont and tangerine. Similar to the Dragons Egg Bath Bomb above, I love citric scents as they are just so fresh and really wake you up. I didn't use too much of the bar as I really want it to last, so my bath water was left a pale orange colour. Although, I still got a great amount of bubbles despite only using a small chunk of product. I can tell that this will definitely be one of my new favourite bath products now that spring is fast approaching!

So, I hope that you all enjoyed reading about my thoughts on these three wonderful Lush products. I can honestly say that I am becoming a Lush addict! What are your favourite Lush products? Please let me know in the comments below. Thank you!

L'Oréal vs Garnier Micellar Cleansing Waters Review

Hi guys. Today I am going to be talking about two of the most talked about micellar waters on the high street at the moment; Garnier's Micellar Cleansing Water and L'Oréal's Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar SolutionMicellar waters have become a huge craze in the beauty world over the past few years with the French brand Bioderma leading the way. So, it's only natural that this trend has filtered through onto the high street and into drugstores such as Boots and Superdrug. Both Garnier and L'Oréal are two of the most well-known brands that have jumped on this bandwagon to create more inexpensive alternatives to Bioderma and other higher end brands like Caudalie, which are not as easy to track down.

Both brands ultimately promise the same things; a water that removes make-up, cleanses and soothes the skin. Both retail at a very affordable £4.99, although they always seem to be on offer for around the £3 something mark. The solutions can be used on all three of the areas that you would usually apply your make-up - face, eyes and lips. Both are also hypo-allergenic and, therefore, are suitable for those with sensitive skin as well. In addition this, after reading the back of the bottles, their ingredient lists are exactly the same. However, despite having countless similarities, the two products do have one noticeable difference which definitely favours Garnier's version as being the better product.

The main difference between the two brands is the amount of product you actually get. L'Oréal contains a measly 200ml of product compared to Garnier, which offers double that amount with 400ml in each bottle. So, seeing as both bottles at the same price (as mentioned above,) Garnier clearly gives you a lot more value for your money. Also, one thing that the brand have included on their label which L'Oréal haven't is how many uses you can get out of the product. Garnier claim that you can get 200 uses out of the 400ml bottle, which means that each time you should be using 2ml of product. However, I feel that is a pretty tiny amount and I'm positive that I will probably use a little more than that per use.

As for the products themselves, both solutions dissolve my make-up really well even when I have lashings of mascara and eyeliner on. I really like using both products to initially cleanse my face but I then go in with either No7 Foaming Cleanser or Soap & Glory Peaches And Clean to a second cleanse. I like to do this to ensure that every scrap of make-up has been removed and that my skin has had a thorough, deep clean. Overall, although the products do the exact same job to the exact same standard, I would obviously repurchase the Garnier version over L'Oréal's purely due to the fact that there is twice the amount of product in the bottle.

Have any of you tried these products out? Which one do you prefer? Please let me know in the comments below :)

My Perfume Collection

Hi guys. Today I thought that I would share some of my perfume collection with you. I do have a couple of other bottles in my collection but these five above are definitely my favourites of the bunch. I think that perfume is quite a personal thing, as everybody tends to have a preference as to the types of scents the enjoy wearing. I myself usually sway towards floral or citrus scents because they are quite light and fresh, which I think suit me way better than heavier, spicier scents. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy reading about my personal favourites. Let's get started!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau de Toilette (50ml) - £47.50
First up is the ever so popular Marc Jacobs 'Daisy.' I received this perfume from my parents near the end of 2012 and as you can see, I am nearing the end of the bottle which I am pretty sad about. As you can probably guess from its title, 'Daisy' is an incredibly floral perfume including notes of violet petals and violet leaves. In addition, the base notes have a hint of vanilla and musk in them to make the perfume a little more balanced and less sickly sweet. I absolutely adore the packaging as it is very girly yet simple at the same time, it looks lovely on my shelf display too. I definitely want to repurchase another bottle!

Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna Eau de Parfum (50ml) - £29.00
Next up is probably my favourite perfume of all time, I have gotten through three or four bottles of this already and I'm almost running out again! It has notes of hibiscus flowers, violet and coconut water which admittedly, does sound a little peculiar on paper but it smells heavenly. The overall scent is fruity yet musky, which is exactly what I love in a perfume. Whenever I wear this, I always get compliments on how I smell and I think it has become my signature scent over the past few years! As for the packaging, the black and gold running round the bottle is simple yet sophisticated - which is an added bonus in my book!

Diesel Loverdose Eau de Parfum (30ml) - £30.00
I first got this perfume when I was a bit younger and the main reason that I wanted it was because I was obsessed that the bottle was a purple heart with a stake running through it (what a saddo!) Loverdose is not a perfume that I would usually go for due to the fact that it contains a liquorice scent, which is something that I really don't like (to eat or to smell.) However, mixed with top notes of mandarin & star anise and base notes of dry wood, it really works well. The fragrance is definitely the strongest in my collection and it lingers for hours, I prefer to wear this scent at night time as it can be a little overpowering during the day.

This gorgeous perfume used to be my 'signature scent' that I was obsessed with before I started using Reb'l Fleur. The fuchsia coloured bottled with the gold YSL logo, (it somehow looks silver in the photo,) looks really pretty and classy on my bedroom shelving. Although its original price tag is rather steep, I got it in duty free and so I can assure you that I did not pay eighty pounds for it! The fragrance itself is first and foremost floral, with notes peonies and pink berries running though it. However, do not be fooled into thinking this is a light perfume. I cannot quite put my finger on it but this scent manages to be flowery yet sexy at the same time. Similarly to Loverdose, it is lovely to use at night time!
Marc Jacobs Honey Eau de Parfum (50ml) - £46.99
Last but no means least is the most recent addition to my collection, Honey, which I received from my parents for Christmas along with the matching shower gel and body wash. This perfume has notes of honey along with orange blossom, peach nectar, apricots, pears and mandarins. So, as you can probably tell, this is definitely a fruity and sweet spring/summer scent. The bee inspired bottle is also really cute and is obviously a nice little touch, given the name of the fragrance. I am trying to save this fragrance for the warmer months but I do wear it from time to time when I need a quick pick-me-up!

So, I hope you all enjoyed having a little peep into my perfume collection. It was pretty hard to whittle it down to my favourite five as I do have a couple more that I do really enjoy using. Have you tried any of these fragrances before? What did you think of them?

Forever 21: Spring/Summer Crop Tops

Hi guys. It has been one of those days where I have been browsing through multiple clothing websites, lusting after all of the spring and summer items that have suddenly started to appear. After having a few sunny days (though it's still cold) here in England this week, it has made me long for the summer months where I can simply slip on a floral dress and some sandals! I am a huge fan of crop tops; especially in the summer but all year round too and whilst I was on the Forever 21 website, I saw so many that caught my eye. Therefore, today I thought that I would share with you my favourites from the bunch.

I absolutely love Forever 21 as a brand due to the fact that their clothing is always on trend, yet it is incredibly inexpensive. Sometimes it's true that you get what you pay for but another great thing about Forever 21 is that they never scrimp on the quality of their items. They are always a good quality fabric that is extremely durable.

I would say that the only downside to the brand is their sizing. Rather then clothes sizes, Forever 21 label their items as small, medium and large. As I am a UK size 6 to 8, you would think that I would definitely fit into the small category but even some small items are too big for me (crazy right?) So, sometimes I have to guess whether something will actually fit me or not before I decide to buy it. I'm not sure if anybody else has this problem but it is something that I have come across quite regularly. Although the brand do stock some items in an extra small, this is very rare and unfortunately it is never in the items that I actually want. Despite all of this, Forever 21 have some amazing new items at the moment and here are the six crop tops that have made the list, enjoy!

Moi Crop Top - £12.00

I love this top as it is so versatile. It could be worn with skirts, shorts or jeans and is great for a relaxed, everyday look. The fact that it is monochrome is an extra bonus for me seeing as I always seem to predominately wear black and white.

Sweet Thing Floral Crop Top - £5.50

This is probably my favourite top out of all six. It's ditsy, floral print just screams spring/summer and the detailing on the back adds that extra special something that sets it apart from any other floral crop top that I have seen before!

Bored Floral Crop Top - £8.75

I love the way that this item has been styled here. I am a lover of more edgier, rocky outfits and this boxy crop top certainly fits the bill. Plus, you could always throw on the check shirt if it gets chilly (especially with how temperamental the weather is if you live in the UK like me!

Trippy Paris Crop Top - £10.50

This top stood out to me as it resembles the ever so popular designer Céline t-shirts. Also, similarly to the 'Moi' top above, this crop top is very versatile and will go with absolutely anything.

Total Stud Crop Top - £12.75

This item is definitely the dressiest of the bunch and would look amazing on a night out. The gold studs definitely give this top a punky edge too! Personally, I would pair it with some disco pants or some high waisted shorts.

Classic Floral Crop Top - £7.25

Last but certainly not least, this top would be great for everyday and is very casual. I love the combination of the blue flowers against the denim shorts too, it's super flattering!
