My Favourite Autumn Lipsticks

This year I have fully embraced nude lips (I like to blame that on MAC's Velvet Teddy and NARS' Anita) but now that we are well and truly in the midst of autumn, I am back to rocking a darker and bolder lip once again! I have four of my favourite autumnal lip products to show you all today, three of which are from the drugstore, so there are definitely some great bargains out their that you need to get your hands on! So, let's jump right in and see which red and berry hues that I have been loving lately!

MAC Lipstick in Plumful (£15.50)
First up is the ever-so-popular MAC shade 'Plumful' - a lustre formula that is the perfect autumnal pink shade with a really subtle berry hint to it. It is such a comfortable lipstick to wear in the colder months as it is super moisturising and it glides onto your lips so seamlessly! It is a great shade for when you want an understated pop of colour.

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in Kiss Fatal (£6.99)
Next is Rimmel's version of a liquid lipstick in the shade 'Kiss Fatal,' which is a gorgeous dusky purple shade. It's not too in your face but it's bold enough to make an impact! Although the formula of the Provocalips line is far from perfect, (it can sometimes feel really drying and occasionlly it crumbles away slightly,) I always manage to see past it because the shade is so unique and is really long-lasting!

(From left to right: Plumful, Kiss Fatal, Standout, Dark Night Water-loops)

Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in Standout (£7.99)
I have loved Revlon's range of lip crayons for such a long time now and the shade 'Standout' is no exception! It is a stunning blue-based cherry red that is matte without being drying on the lips. I love wearing this lipstick during the festive season as it is truly a classic red that looks perfect around this time of year!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dark Night Water-loops (£6.49)
Last but certainly not least is the amazing 'Dark Night Water-loops' from Rimmel. Although I barely get any wear out of this shade because it is really dark, (the swatch doesn't do it justice,) I had to give it a special mention because it is the perfect vampy purple shade for Halloween - I am even wearing it as part of my costume this year! It is so fun to wear and it definitely turns a lot of heads!

So, those are my favourite autumn lipsticks at the moment! Have you tried any of these shades before and if so, what do you think of them? Also, if you can recommend any more autumnal shades that you think I need to get my hands on, then please let me know by leaving any suggestions down below!

Rimmel's Kate Moss Nude Collection

Ever since I can remember, I have always been a bright lip kinda gal. However, this year, I have really found a love for nude hues on my lips too! I have discovered lots of great options from MAC's infamous 'Velvet Teddy to NARS' Audacious lipstick in 'Anita.' Now, I have yet another great shade to add to my ever-growing collection and that is one of the new Nude Collection lipsticks from Rimmel. The two Kate Moss collections previous to this latest release have been extremely popular due to their amazingly pigmented colours and gorgeously creamy formulas... and the new nude shades have definitely kept to these high standards!

There are six new products in the collection which all cost £5.49; five nude lipsticks and one clear lip conditioner. The idea is to apply the conditioner to your lips as a base coat for the shade that you follow up with, to keep them hydrated and to make for a smooth application. I decided that I wanted try one shade first to see how I liked it, so I opted for shade '45' which is a natural pinky-nude colour. It really suits my skin tone and colouring well as I am moderately fair (albeit, I do sometimes fake tan) with light blonde hair.

I think that Rimmel have described this new collection perfectly, as they claim that there is a 'barely-there hue' for every skin tone. I without a doubt agree with that as this lipstick has just the right amount of pigmentation - it's neither too sheer nor too thick. It's definitely a wearable and natural daytime shade, although you can layer it up more if you would like to! Plus, I would also wear this shade in the evening too paired with a bold smokey eye. Just like the two Kate Moss collections in the past, the lipsticks are very creamy and comfortable to wear but that does mean that its not the most long-lasting formula ever. However, with that being said, it would probably be pretty easy to re-apply it on the go without any need for a mirror!

In terms of the performance of the clear conditioning lip balm, it does what it says on the tube really! It keeps your lips feeling nourished and it works as a good base for your nude shade to sit on top of. Still, one thing that I do like about this balm is that it contains an SPF of 15, which is great for the summer months and you could even wear it on its own if your going on holiday or are out in the sunshine a lot!

Overall, I think that this new collection is pretty great! It's affordable, the shades are extremely flattering and they are moisturising to boot. I would highly recommend that you go and pick one up for yourself but make sure that you figure out beforehand which of the 5 shades would work best for you! What is your favourite Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick? Have you tried this new collection yet? Please let know, as always, by leaving a comment down below!

My Monthly Favourites - June 2015

It's been quite a while since I did a monthly favourites, (April to be exact,) due to the fact that last month I got a little carried away with birthday related blog posts instead! However, I am now ready to get sharing all of my most-used and most-loved beauty products once again. This months favourites contains quite a few new products, plus a re-purchase of a holy grail item that I could never live without! Furthermore, without running the risk of rambling on about just how quickly this month has flown by, let's jump right into my June favourites!

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray (Travel Size) -  £9.00
The first product that I have been loving this month is this re-purchase that I mentioned above. A few years ago, I would have laughed if somebody said that a setting mist would be one of my holy grails but it really is. This nifty little spray from Urban Decay keeps my make-up locked into place all day long, despite how oily my skin is! It dries within seconds and is truly undetectable on my face! If you have trouble with your make-up looking shabby by midday, then this is the product for you!

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter - £13.00
My boyfriend bought me this lovely body butter as part of my birthday present, as I had finally used up all of my other lotions and potions lying around the house! I never usually buy this tub is it is more expensive than Soap & Glory's body butter range, which I tend to reach for instead. However, I am a huge lover of fruity scents and he even caught me giving this a whiff recently in store and he noted it down to buy for me (what a cutie!) So far, I am loving this product as not only is the smell like delicious oranges but it is really rich and effective too!

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle - £23.00
I won't spend too much time talking about this product because I have already featured it on my blog here but I am seriously in love with Soft & Gentle! Of course, this is a much raved about MAC product and with good reason - it is amazing! It gives the most stunning golden glow to the tops of your cheekbones and it really makes them pop. This is a must-have for anybody who wants to achieve a luminous and shimmery look to their skin!

Urban Decay Glide-On Lip Pencil in Bang - £13.50
After buying the shade 'Turn On' already and loving it, I knew I had to go back and pick up another shade of this lip pencil. Urban Decay's Glide-On range is always talked about highly amongst other beauty bloggers as the formulation of this pencil is so creamy and easy to apply and I have to agree. Plus, once applied - this stuff does not budge! I wanted to buy a more punchy and bright shade so I opted for 'Bang,' which is a beautiful orange based red colour. It really is a show-stopping shade and you should definitely give it a swatch next time you're at a counter!

Rimmel Rita Ora 60 Seconds Nail Polish in Oragina - £2.99
Last but not least, I have always been a fan of Rimmel's 60 Seconds range as I love the brush and how opaque the polishes always are. I realised that my nail varnish collection was seriously lacking when it came to orange shades, so I opted for this super cute colour called 'Oragina.' It's not the most chip-resistant polish in the world but it stays put for a decent amount of time. However, I love this shade so much as it really sets off my tan nicely and it looks equally as great on the toes as it does on my fingernails. Plus, for under £3 you cannot really go wrong - I may even have to go back and buy a few more soon!

So guys, that's it for yet another month of favourites. I hope you all enjoyed reading about the five products that I have been reaching for non-stop for the past 30 days! What have your favourite beauty products been this June? Please let me know by leaving a comment below with your thoughts and recommendations!

The Kylie Jenner Lip

It will probably come as no surprise that I am just as obsessed over the Kylie Jenner lip trend as everybody else is. It seems that everybody in the world is now after that perfect pout! Mind you, I am a little late hopping onto the bandwagon as I wasn't sure whether the nude-y brown look would suit my complexion... but low and behold, it does! Up until now I have definitely been more of a bold lip kinda gal but recently, I have been leaning towards nude shades more than ever before! Therefore, today I wanted to share a few of my favourite products with you that mimic Kylie's look perfectly. Let's get started!

First up is Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet in Beau Brun (£8.99.) I have been a huge fan of this range of liquid lipsticks ever since they launched and have raved about them many times on my blog before! So when I found out that they had released a few new shades, including a nude-y brown, I had to get my hands on it pronto. Now, this product is not as nude as the other two in this post. In fact, Beau Brun is quite a vivid nude with brown undertones (it's a pretty hard colour to describe!) It may not be the classic Kylie shade but I have seen her rock a colour like this before and it's still just as gorgeous!

Next is MAC's Velvet Teddy Lipstick (£15.50,) the most famous shade that Miss Jenner is rumoured to use. This lipstick has become so popular over the past year that it's almost always sold out and is near on impossible to get hold of at times! However, luckily for me, my good friend Chloe who actually works for MAC got one for me as soon as it was back in stock. As you can imagine, this shade is just as amazing as everybody makes it out to be. It's the perfect 90's shade that looks beautiful on so many skin tones.

(Top: Beau Brun - Middle: Velvet Teddy - Bottom: Addiction)

Last but not least is Rimmel's Exaggerate Lip Liner in Addiction (£3.99.) Not only is it near on a perfect dupe for Velvet Teddy, only every so slightly darker, it's an absolute bargain too. I love finding drugstore products like this! I have only recently gotten into using lip liner but now I'm a complete convert and I cannot wait to start collecting some more colours to add to my collection. The Exaggerate range is quite creamy and so I have been enjoying using this shade all over the lips, as well as using it just the outline them.

So, there you have it guys. Those are three of my favourite shades to get Kylie's look at the moment! Which shade is our favourite? Are you a fan of this trend too? Let me know by leaving a comment down below, I'd love to hear your feedback!

A Soft & Smokey Eye Look

Hi guys. Unfortunately I have come down with an awful stomach bug this week but whilst I had some energy, I wanted to write up a quick post for you all. On Monday, my very talented friend and make-up artist Chloe (otherwise known as Glam By Coco on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) used me as a model to promote her freelancing! We decided to take me out of my comfort zone and start experimenting with eyeshadows because I usually stick to winged liner and not much else on my lids. Eyeshadow is something that I have struggled with in the past but now that I am growing to love it, I am even getting the Naked 2 palette for Christmas! Chloe did an absolutely amazing job and so I though that I would quickly share with you the products that she used to achieve this soft and smokey look!

Here is a list of products that were used:

MAC Swiss Chocolate Eyeshadow
MAC Embark Eyeshadow
MAC Carbon Eyeshadow
Clinique Quickliner in Intense Charcoal
MAC Coffee Eye Pencil
Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Holy Smokes!
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
Tanya Burr Girls Night Out Eyelashes

Albeit rather short, I hope that you liked this post and I will hopefully be doing some more make-up looks or tutorials in the future. I am hoping to be on the mend as soon as possible, so that I can back to blogging properly once again. As always, please let me know what you think of this look by leaving a comment down below. Thank you!

My Top 3 Autumn Lip Colours

Ever since I can remember, I have been a huge fan of bold lip colours. I really believe that a statement lip can really take your make-up look to the next level. My make-up always feels incomplete and bland unless I have a pop of colour on my pout! Now that we are now into autumn and winter, one of the most obvious and popular trends out there is berry lips. So today, I thought that I would share my top three favourite autumn lip colours with you all. I hope you enjoy!

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in Kiss Fatal - £6.99
First up is the newest addition to my lip product collection. I went out and bought this product on the very first day that it was released because I was really intrigued about the claims Rimmel were making. The whole Provocalips range claims to be kiss proof and transfer proof, which I completely agree with - this stuff does not budge! It's two steps of applying the colour and then the top coat is a genius idea and it really locks everything into place. 'Kiss Fatal' is a gorgeous purple/mauve shade with brown undertones and is even more intense than my swatch shows below! This is one of my favourite products to wear at the moment due to its unique shade and impressive longevity. You have to give it a try!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dark Night Waterl-oops! - £6.49
Next on my list is this stunning lipstick, again from Rimmel London. 'Dark Night Water-loops!' is a super dark and intense plum colour that is one step up from one of the most talked about Moisture Renew lipsticks, 'Sloane's Plum.' The formulation of this product is one of the other main reasons as to why I love it so much, it is so creamy and moistursing! In addition, this product will not make any dry or flaky patches look obvious, which can often happen when you opt for bold lips. I highly recommend 'Dark Night Water-loops!' to anyone who is a fan of rich and almost gothic looking shades, as this one certainly packs a punch!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush - £7.99
Last but not least is the product that first got me into berry coloured lips, Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. This beautiful lip crayon allows you to get the same effect of a statement lip whilst being a little bit sheerer than the lip stain and lipstick that I have mentioned above. 'Crush' is a great product for beginners who are just venturing out into the world of darker lip colours. It is a classic berry shade that suits every skin tone and is incredibly easy to apply! Another great factor to this product is that it is also a balm, which means that it is moistursing and does not dry out your lips in anyway. This crayon will always be a firm favourite of mine (I've already gotten through almost two,) so I highly recommend it to all of you as well!

(Shades from top to bottom: Kiss Fatal, Dark Night Water-loops!, Crush)

So, those are my top three favourite lip colours for autumn. Berry shades are bang on trend at this time every year and I absolutely love them! Which out of the three products above do you like the look of most? Have you used any of them before? What is your go to autumn lip colour? Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

My Monthly Favourites - October 2014

Hi guys. As always, I cannot believe yet another month is has flown by. In a few days, Halloween will be over and we will then be turning our attentions to Christmas and all things festive! Seeing as I haven't done a favourites post since August, I thought that it was about time for me to do another and share with you all of the products that I have been loving lately. Let's get started!

Herbal Essences Uplifting Volume Conditioner - £3.99
After running out of my John Frieda volume conditioner, I wanted to find an alternative product that was less expensive. I've decided that there is no point in me splurging out on a conditioner anymore because I do not use one every day, as my hair is so fine and it goes limp if I condition it too often. So far, this number from Herbal Essences certainly gets the job done for me! It adds volume to my hair without weighing it down and it leaves it feeling very soft and manageable. Not only this but the orange scent leaves my hair smelling lovely too, which is a complete bonus.

O.P.I Nail Polish in O.P.I Scores A Goal! - £8.55
Next, this nail varnish has been on my fingers for almost the entire month (I have re-painted, of course!) This gorgeous deep brown/purple colour is so autumnal and is perfect for this time of year. I love O.P.I polishes because the formula dries really quickly and their wide brushes make application an absolute breeze. With only two coats, you get a really opaque and glossy finish and overall the polish is pretty chip resistant as long as you use a decent top coat alongside it too!

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in I'll Call You - £6.99
I recently did a full review of this product at the start of the month (which you can read here,) so I will keep this short and sweet! This gorgeous pink shade packs a real punch and is still very wearable at the same time. Its two step system is excellent; the colour itself is matte and stains the lips perfectly, where as the top coat seals in the colour and adds a glossy shine. This product stays on your lips all day which is perfect as you can avoid touch ups and it has great staying power for nights out as well.

Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara in Black - £7.99
I'm going to get straight to the point, I am in love this mascara! Due to the fact that I have short, sparse and fine lashes (I'm not very lucky in the lash department,) I find it very hard to find mascaras that work well for me. However, this one has already become one of my favourites! It adds length and volume without becoming clumpy or weighing down my lashes too much. Plus, the plastic brush isn't too large which means that I can get to the root of my lashes properly and coat every single one easily. This one is definitely up their with my beloved They're Real! mascara.

Zoella Beauty Let's Glow Candle - £5.00
Last but not least, I was so excited about Zoella's product launch that I went and bought this candle and the bath soak almost immediately! Out of the two products, I have been loving this candle an awful lot. Whether I have been relaxing in the bath or having some me time in my room, this candle has been used the majority of the time. I love its sweet yet subtle scent as it is really relaxing and soothing. Plus, I love the look of the packaging and it looks great on display in my bedroom! Not only this but the candle burns pretty slowly, which means that I will be able to get a lot of uses out of it too.

So, those are my top five favourites for the month of October! I hope you have enjoyed reading about the products that I have been reaching for a lot over recent weeks. Which products that I have mentioned above do you like the sound of? What are your own monthly favourites? I love getting recommendations and feedback, so please do not hesitate to leave your thoughts and opinions below. Thank you!

My Clubbing Make-Up Look

Hi guys. I went out clubbing with my friends for the first time in ages on Saturday night as it was my best friends leaving do (she's going to work in Barcelona for nine months!) One of my favourite parts of the night is dolling myself up and taking ages perfecting my make-up, as you can really go all out! I just love getting the opportunity to dress up as often as I can, as it gives me much more confidence and I love seeing how my outfit and make-up always come together. So today I thought that I would show you all what make-up I used to achieve this night time look. Let's get started!

Here are the products that I used to complete this look:

Benefit Porefessional Primer (mini version)
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in Ivory
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Rimmel Blusher in Coral Rose (now discontinued)
Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer in Light Matte
Benefit High Beam Highlighter (mini version)
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara in Black
Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil in Dark Blonde
Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in India Intrigue

Before I started my make-up, I prepped my skin by cleansing and moisturising to ensure that my skin was fresh and hydrated ready to apply my base. Firstly, I applied my Porefessional primer to the places where my make-up tends to slip off and where my face gets oily - which is mainly in my T-zone area. I then applied my Maybelline foundation to give my skin a flawless and even finish. I like to use two thin layers of my foundation for when I'm going out to get my desired level of coverage. After this, I applied my Lumi Magique concealer under my eyes to eliminate any dark circles and to brighten up the area a little.

I then left my base for the time being and started on my eyes. I began by applying my Rimmel liquid eyeliner to create a subtle cat-eye flick, which is my go to look as it really suits my eye shape. I then curled my eyelashes and applied two coats of my Lash Accelerator mascara, concentrating mainly on my bottom lashes as I was going to apply some false lashes later. I then used my dark blonde Maybelline brow pencil to naturally fill in my eyebrows. After this, I returned to my base and applied my Rimmel blush to my cheeks and also contoured ever so slightly in the hollows of my cheeks using my Sun Shimmer matte bronzer. To finish off my face, I added a few dots of Benefit's High Beam to the tops of my cheekbones to highlight the area and give my face some luminosity too.

For my lips, I simply used my Revlon Moisture Stain in the shade 'India Intrigue' as the colour matched the flowers on my playsuit almost identically. To finish off my look, I applied some Ardell Demi Wispie fake eyeslashes, which add amazing length to my usually short and open up my eyes a lot. Lastly, I also spritzed some of my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray over my face to make sure that everything was set in place and would not budge throughout the night!

(A photo of me and my friends during the night)

So, those are the products that I used to create my make-up look on Saturday night! What do you guys think? I was really happy with the results and my make-up pretty much stayed in place all night long (until 3am to be exact!) I love experimenting with night time, more dramatic looks and I cannot wait to go out again soon so that I can get all glammed up once again!

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour Review

After hearing lots of rave reviews about Rimmel's new lip product 'Provocalips' from various beauty bloggers, I just knew that I had to pick up a couple of shades for myself. They sounded so amazing that I even went down to my local Boots on the first day of their release to the general public. Plus, there is a deal on at the moment whereby if you spend over £10 on any Rimmel products, you receive a Lash Accelerator Endless mascara for free - which of course, I opted for! I am a bit of a lip product junkie and it my favourite make-up product by far, I just love trying out tons of different colours and formulas! After only having these products for two days, I am already really impressed with them and so I thought it was only right that I did a review on this brand new launch. Let's get started!

The Provocalips range (RRP £6.99 each) comes in eight shades; Skinny Dipping, Make Your Move, Dare To Pink, I'll Call You, Little Minx, Kiss Me You Fool, Play With Fire and Kiss Fatal. What's really great about this range is that there really is a colour for everybody as there are both natural and bold shades to choose from.

Rimmel claim that Provocalips can last up to 16 hours on your lips whilst being kiss proof, transfer proof and food proof. Those are usually some pretty hefty claims to live up to but so far, I would agree with all of those statements! The product is extremely long wearing and it barely fades at all throughout the day. You may need to touch it up just a tad as you reach late afternoon but just two applications throughout the day is pretty incredible compared to standard lip products.

The product itself has two steps. Step 1 is applying the colour to your lips, which will then dry down to a sticky matte consistency within about 30 seconds. Then, the second step is to apply the clear balm that acts as a topcoat for the product. Not only does this stage ensure that your lip colour is locked into place but it adds a lot of moisture and shine back into the lips too. Both steps also have a doe foot applicator which is the perfect size to apply the product onto your lips quickly and precisely.

The two shades in the range that I went for are 'I'll Call You' (a classic pink shade) and 'Kiss Fatal' (a deep purple shade.) I love how 'I'll Call You' is a shade that can be easily be worn during the day time when you don't want to go to OTT. On the other hand, 'Kiss Fatal' is a vampy and darker colour which will look great in the evening and for nights out, especially as we are now entering into autumn/winter.

I would say that the only downside to this product is that the top coat is not as long lasting as the actual lip colour, so that tends to disappear quite quickly. This means that your lips may start to feel a little dry and dehydrated, although it's simple to apply the top coat without a mirror to make your lips feel nourished again. That's a small price to pay in my opinion, as quickly swiping on the balm every now and again is not very time consuming.

Overall, I absolutely love this new launch from Rimmel and I am already looking forward to picking up a few more shades. 'Make Your Move' and 'Kiss Me You Fool' are definitely the next two on my list! What do you think of this new range? Have you tied out Provocalips yet and which colour did you purchase? Please let me know by leaving a comment below, I always love reading your opinions!

The Lip Product Addict Tag

Hi guys. Today I thought that I would do the Lip Product Addict Tag, which was originally created by YouTubers Amelia Liana and Essiebutton (watch here.) The reason behind me doing this tag is simply because I seem to be lacking in inspiration this week but I still wanted to post something whilst I try to get my blogging mojo back! The beauty product that I obsess over most is definitely lipstick and I always seem to buy a new one whenever I pop into Boots or Superdrug, it's an addiction of mine! Hence, I thought that this tag was the perfect fit me. So, lets get started!

1. Favourite balm/treatment?
I really loving using Carmex to nourish my lips throughout the day or over night. I love its thick consistency as it really feels like it is doing something to your lips. Not only this but this balm is so cheap which is a huge bonus seeing as I have gotten through quite a few tubes of it already and use it almost every day. My favourite flavour to use is cherry as it smells delicious! I also think that there is a hint of menthol in this product as it really makes your lips tingle when you apply it too!

2. Best eye-catching red?

I would have to say that my favourite red to wear is Revlon's ColorBurst Matte Balm in the shade 'Standout,' which is a deep red. I love the matte finish to this product as it is not at all drying on the lips and  think that sometimes super glossy reds can make you look a little over done. This crayon is super long-lasting too - which is great for when I want to wear a statement red lip on a night out and I don't want it to budge!

3. Best luxury & best drugstore?

For luxury, I love my new Clinique Chubby Stick in the shade 'Woopin' Watermelon.' I am a huge chubby stick fan and I just love the colour of this. It is a pale pink shade that is quite sheer, so it is perfect to wear during the day time. I usually layer it over Benefit's Posie Tint and these two product together give the most amazing natural and pretty look. As for drugstore, I think you cannot beat the formulation of Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipsticks. They are really moisturising and creamy, plus the shade range that they have is amazing. There is definitely something for everybody! One of my favourite shades is 'Dark Knight Water-loops!' which is a stunning dark plum shade which is perfect for creating a vampy make-up look.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
Surprisingly, I only own one MAC lipstick and this is because I am often on a budget and I find that the range of lip products in the drugstore is pretty amazing anyway! However, the one lipstick from MAC that I do own is called 'Crosswires.' It is a gorgeous coral/pink shade which is part of their creme sheen collection. It is a beautiful summer shade that looks great with a tan and instantly perks up your complexion!

5. The most disappointing?

The most disappointing lip product in my collection is Barry M's Ultra Moisturising Lip Paint in the shade 156. This lipstick does not last long on the lips at all and it is quite a pain to have to constantly re-apply it. For me this is a real shame because it's deep pink/berry shade is actually really gorgeous, it's just a pity that it fades so quick!

6. Liner - yes or no?

I do not tend to use liner because lipstick does not seem to bleed on my lips, so I think for me personally, it is an unnecessary step. However, I do love the look of using lip liner if you are doing a bold lip as it gives you a lot more precision and definition.

7. Best gloss?

My favourite gloss at the moment is Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Kiss Me Coral. Not only is the formulation of the gloss lightweight and not overly sticky, but the colour itself is gorgeous too. This coral/red gloss has amazing pigmentation for a gloss and it also has fleck of glitter run through it, which makes it even more pretty!

8. Something extra!

I could not do the Lip Product Addict Tag without mentioning Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks. Everybody in the blogging community is talking about these bad boys and for good reason! These liquid lipsticks are not only affordable but the six shades in the range are so bright and stunning. I have the colour 'Frambourjosie,' which is vivid pink and this is without a doubt the most long wearing product that I own. It does not budge all day and it's matte finish is really flattering without being drying or patchy.

So guys, I hope you all enjoyed reading my answer to the Lip Product Addict Tag. Rather than tagging specific fellow bloggers to complete this tag, I would like to tag everybody who is reading this post to try the questions out for themselves! If you do complete the tag, make sure to leave a link to it below so that I can check out your answers! Thank you :)

What I Got For My 20th Birthday | Part Two

Hi guys. It was my 20th birthday last Wednesday and I was very lucky to get lots of lovely presents from my loved ones. I have already posted part one of what I got for my birthday (which you can read here,) but today I thought that I would share part two with you all. Part One was focused on what my family and my boyfriend got me but today features the gifts that were given to me by my closest friends. As I mentioned in my previous post, I am extremely grateful for all of the presents that I have received and I am really excited to share all of these bit and bobs with you all. So, let's get started!

First up, my best friend Sarah got me a lovely array of gifts! She knows that I absolutely adore both floral patterns and crop tops, so she got me this cute little number from H&M along with a gift card too. As well as this, Sarah also bought me a Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade 'Dark Knight Waterl-oops!' The story behind this is that I bought this lipstick for both of us to wear on Halloween as part of a vampy make-up look but I lost it whilst we were out clubbing. So, she kindly bought me a new one! To top everything off, Sarah also got me a Moringa set from The Body Shop which features a shower gel, a body milk and a mini loofah. I think it's safe to say that I was thoroughly spoiled by my best friend!

My other best friend Laura got me these two amazing gifts. The first gift is this set of three moon candles, which are basically flameless glass candles that change colour. They are controlled by a little remote control which can change the candles into 13 different colour settings and different lighting modes too. Laura knows that I often have relaxing pamper nights and she thought that these cool little candles would help set the mood. Not only this but she also got me two Lush products; the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar (my favourite ever Lush product) and the Sex Bomb Bath Bomb, which I am yet to try. I cannot wait to use them!

Next up my friend Chloe, (whose blog is Coco Mykel,) bought me these lovely bits from Clinique. As Chloe works for Clinique, she loves their products and thought that I would too! First is their Universal Face Primer which I got a tube of at Christmas and I absolutely adore it, so Chloe got me another lot so that I fully stocked for a while! As I am a bit of a lip crayon addict, she also got me one of their infamous Chubby Sticks in the shade Woppin' Watermelon - which is a nice and natural sheer pink colour. Last but not least, Chloe also bought me two nail enamels in the shades 'Party Red' and 'Hi Sweetie.' I absolutely love them and I do not own a lot of high end make-up, so this very exciting for me!

My friend Lucy got me this amazing bundle of goodies! She bought me this really cool journal called 'F*ck! I'm In My Twenties,' which has lots of different sections and subjects within in that you can write about and document as time goes on. It even has a section for a self portrait! As well as this she also got me two cute and dainty Urban Outfitters bracelets, some adorable cat socks with little ears and a vivid neon nail varnish. Plus, some Dairy Milk Oreo for good measure - yum!

My good friend Charlotte bought me this really interesting book all about nail art which includes hundreds of really cool and pretty designs for me to try. For those of you who do not know, I carried out a nail course near the end of last year and so even though I am still a beginner, I love all things to do with nails and nail art! To accompany the book, she also got me three nail varnishes from Natural Collection; a bright pink, a deep purple and a white (which will come in very handy for a lot of designs!)

Last but certainly not least are the presents from my friend Danielle. She bought me this gorgeous set of products from Baylis & Harding. In the set is a cream wash, a body cream and some soap. All three of the products have a sugar cane, basil and lime scent which is incredibly fresh. As well as this, Danielle also bought me a cute little BFF Me To You teddy and a bottle of vodka, which is my drink of choice!

I hope you all enjoyed reading part two of 'What I Got For My 20th Birthday.' If you haven't done so already, check it part one here! I am absolutely in love with all of the gifts that I have received and cannot wait to start using them all. I am well and truly overwhelmed with how amazing my friends & family are and how generous they have been. I am extremely happy and grateful! Thank you for reading :)

Forever Repurchased: Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder

Hi guys, today I just wanted to do a quick post talking about a product that I simply could not live without in my make-up bag. The infamous Stay Matte Powder (£3.99) from Rimmel is definitely a firm favourite amongst thousands of beauty bloggers, myself included. As soon as I heard about this powder last year, I went out and bought it immediately after reading tons of good reviews and promising claims about it on other peoples blogs. I have loved this product ever since and I have gotten through about three of them already!

Due to the fact that I have oily/combination skin, I have always struggled with excess shine throughout the day and it used to drive me around the bend! However, this product definitely does the trick. I still do suffer from the odd bit of shininess here and there, but it is no where near as bad as before when I used to use Seventeen's Pressed Powder instead. Another great thing about this powder apart from it combating oiliness is that it looks really natural on the skin. When I applied with my Real Techniques Powder Brush, the product is almost undetectable and does not look at all cake-y. Plus, this powder lasts me for roughly four months and it takes absolutely ages to hit pan, it is incredibly long lasting and a little goes a long way!

I buy the shade Transparent (001) as it suitable for all skin tones, however, there are five more shades in the range; Pink Blossom, Peach Glow, Sandstorm, Silky Beige and Warm Beige. As the other shades have a slight colour to them, they will therefore add some extra coverage if you need it. I am thinking about buying another shade to do just this for when I go out at night time for clubbing, parties and so on. The only bad thing I have to say about this product is that its packaging leaves a lot to be desired. It is incredibly flimsy and can break quite easily but for £3.99, this can be easily overlooked and you get what you pay for really.

Here is a quick synopsis of Stay Matte's main pros and cons:

Pros

- Controls oiliness and shine through the day
It is virtually undetectable on the skin
Good range of shades to choose from
It is long lasting and extremely affordable

Cons
The packaging is flimsy and can break easily

Overall, this product really does keep shine at bay, even for those with super oily skin and this is why I will keep continuing to repurchase it. Have you ever tried Rimmel's Stay Matte Powder before? What do you think of this absolute bargain of a product? Please let e know by leaving a comment below. Thank you!

My Lip Crayon Collection | Revlon, L'Oréal and Rimmel

Hi guys. Over the past year or two, lip crayons have majorly taken off in the beauty world. Ever since the release of Clinique's Chubby Sticks, almost every brand on the market have created their own dupes of the ever so popular product. Lip crayons are incredibly handy and useful as they give a wash of colour to the lips whilst moisturising them at the same time. These products seem to be handbag heroes too; I always have at least one thrown into the bottom of my bag in case of emergency. They are incredibly easy to apply, especially if you are out and about, as you do not necessarily need a mirror or excellent precision to apply them.

My lip crayon collection has grown steadily within this time and I thought that I would share some of my favourites with all of you today. I will be focusing on three high street brands that I think have nailed this popular trend perfectly; Revlon, L'Oréal and Rimmel. So, let's get started!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
First up is one of the new Revlon Lacquer Balms released back in January of this year. 'Whimsical' is a lovely berry pink, purple-y shade that has lots of little specks of glitter running through it. I would say that this product is not that highly pigmented, it gives a nice wash of colour but it can be built up if desired. I think this should would suit every skin tone and it looks lovely on a night out!

Rimmel Color Rush Balm in The Redder The Better - £5.99
This stunning true red shade from Rimmel is definitely one of my favourites. I love the effect that a red lip gives and this product is no exception. Aside from the colour, this crayon is also incredibly moisturising and long wearing but when it does fade, it does so evenly. Plus, its cocoa and vanilla-like scent is a delicious bonus too!

L'Oréal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Sin For Peach - £6.99
Although the name is a little misleading, this crayon is the most gorgeous colour for every day wear. I would describe it as a pinky nude colour that is 'your lips but better.' Out of all of the aforementioned crayons, this one is by far the most moisturising too. It glides on very well and is so smooth that at times, I forget that I am even wearing a lip product at all! Being the newest addition to my collection, I definitely want to try another colour as soon as possible.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Standout - £7.99
'Standout,' one of the new matte balms from Revlon's ColorBurst collection, is a dark cherry red shade. At first, I had my concerns about buying a matte lip product as they can be very drying and show up any flaky patches that you may have. However, this product surprised me - It glides on so nicely. It is very long-wearing too, as on a night out I only have to top it up once. The colour is absolutely stunning and is great if you want to make a statement!

Rimmel Color Rush Balm in Rumor Has It - £5.99
'Rumor Has It' is a beautiful bright pink shade that looks especially amazing during spring and summer. This crayon is highly pigmented, yet the colour is definitely buildable. One layer leaves a lovely subtle pink colour on the lips. However, a couple more coats really brings this vibrant colour to life. As with my other Color Rush Balm mentioned above, I just cannot get enough of its cocoa/vanilla scent too!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush - £7.99
Last but not least is the first lip crayon that I ever bought. 'Crush' is a stunning deep berry colour that suits all skin tones. Out of all of my crayons, this one certainly lasts the longest on the lips due to it being more of a stain than a balm or gloss. I love pairing this product with a cat eye and lashings of mascara for a vampy evening look. As with all Revlon crayons, 'Crush' also has a minty scent to it that makes your lips tingle upon application, which I really like.

(Shades from left to right: Whimsical, The Redder The Better, Sin For Peach, Standout, Rumor Has It, Crush)

So, that's it for my lip crayon collection. I would definitely recommend any of these products to all of you, they are seriously amazing. I am the biggest lip crayon fan as they are so quick & easy to use and I am sure that my collection will continue to grow in the near future! What is your opinion on lip crayons? Have you used any of these products before? Which ones are your favourites? Please feel free to let me know in the comments below. Thank you! :)

My Monthly Favourites - March 2014

Hi guys. It's that time of the month again where I share with all of you what I have been loving beauty wise all throughout March. I have gone a little crazy recently in terms of buying new products - there have been a lot of amazing deals on the high street that were just too good to pass up! Furthermore, a lot of these items are relatively new favourites, apart from one product that I re-discovered and have fallen back in love with. So, without any further ado, let's dive right in!

Dove Go Fresh Nourshing Body Wash Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent - £2.40
First up is a body wash from the Dove 'Go Fresh' collection. After loving one of the other washes in the collection, which was featured in my February favourites (which you can read here,) I decided to give another scent ago. Whilst I was in Sainsbury's recently, there was a half price offer on, so I snapped up two more; Revive and one other scent which I am sure I will talk about on my blog soon. Every product I have ever tried from Dove has been really gentle on the skin and extremely moisturising at the same time, and this product is no exception. However, of course the main reason I love this body wash is the scent. The pomegranate and lemon verbena smells absolutely amazing and is a lovely pick-me-up in the morning. I cannot recommend this range enough!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
Next is a product that has been raved about ever since it's release here in the UK back in January. Both the Revlon Lacquer Balms and Matte Balms have taken the drugstore by storm and it's no surprise as to why - they are seriously amazing! The newest lip crayon in my collection is 'Whimsical,' which is a lovely berry pink/purple shade that contains lots of little flecks of glitter too. Although the glitter can feel slightly grainy on the lips from time to time, it's pretty easy to ignore because the colour pay off and the formulation of this product is great. After it has been on your lips for a while and has started to wear off, Whimsical leaves a subtle stain too the lips too - which is perfect if you are after a product that is long-lasting and great for a night out.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector in Light Matte - £6.99
I have recently done a full review of this product on my blog (read here,) so I am not going to go into too much detail. However, I am seriously in love with this instant tan! I am not an avid tanner and I am always dubious of using fake tan in case it goes horribly wrong, so a wash off one is right up my street! This instant tan and BB cream hybrid gives an amazing bronzed colour to the skin whilst hiding any imperfections really well - such as scarring or uneven skin tone. It glides onto the skin seamlessly and does not cling onto any dry patches of skin, even if you do not exfoliate beforehand - which I accidentally did. For a mere £6.99, this product is definitely worth trying if you like having a tan for special occasions without having the commitment of a fake tan that develops and is ore permanent!

Essie Nail Polish in Splash Of Grenadine - £7.99
All I can say is... this nail polish is gorgeous! This may come as a surprise to some of you but I have only ever owned one Essie nail varnish, which is one of the nail effects glittery top coats. So, this is the first normal Essie product that I have tried. I heard about this colour after watching one of Essiebutton's videos and I wanted to to give it a try immediately. 'Splash Of Grenadine' also reminded me of a L'Oreal Color Riche polish I had that dried out called 'Acid Watermelon,' which is almost identical. This beautiful shade is a vivid orchid colour which is extremely eye-catching and perfect for this time of year. Plus, this colour is deemed to be huge this spring/summer, so this polish will keep you on trend too which is always a bonus!

Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector - £9.99
Last but certainly not least is an old favourite that I re-discovered whilst having a product clear out! Last year, I had a lot of scarring left on my cheeks after multiple ghastly breakouts. So, I decided to look for a product other than Bio Oil that could banish the dark pigmentation left on my skin. Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector was my product of choice and my god, it's amazing! Within weeks, my scarring had gone down significantly and I was left seriously impressed. However, along with correcting dark areas, this moisturiser/serum is great for brightening your entire face too as it features vitamin C in its list of ingredients. The only thing I would say is that this does leave a film of glitter all over your skin, so it is best used at night time unless you want a sparkly base to apply your make-up on top of!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my March favourites, I have definitely fallen in love with all of these products! Have you tried any of these before? What beauty items have you been reaching for this month? Please let me know in the comments below! Thank you :)
