My Favourite Autumn Lipsticks

This year I have fully embraced nude lips (I like to blame that on MAC's Velvet Teddy and NARS' Anita) but now that we are well and truly in the midst of autumn, I am back to rocking a darker and bolder lip once again! I have four of my favourite autumnal lip products to show you all today, three of which are from the drugstore, so there are definitely some great bargains out their that you need to get your hands on! So, let's jump right in and see which red and berry hues that I have been loving lately!

MAC Lipstick in Plumful (£15.50)
First up is the ever-so-popular MAC shade 'Plumful' - a lustre formula that is the perfect autumnal pink shade with a really subtle berry hint to it. It is such a comfortable lipstick to wear in the colder months as it is super moisturising and it glides onto your lips so seamlessly! It is a great shade for when you want an understated pop of colour.

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in Kiss Fatal (£6.99)
Next is Rimmel's version of a liquid lipstick in the shade 'Kiss Fatal,' which is a gorgeous dusky purple shade. It's not too in your face but it's bold enough to make an impact! Although the formula of the Provocalips line is far from perfect, (it can sometimes feel really drying and occasionlly it crumbles away slightly,) I always manage to see past it because the shade is so unique and is really long-lasting!

(From left to right: Plumful, Kiss Fatal, Standout, Dark Night Water-loops)

Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm in Standout (£7.99)
I have loved Revlon's range of lip crayons for such a long time now and the shade 'Standout' is no exception! It is a stunning blue-based cherry red that is matte without being drying on the lips. I love wearing this lipstick during the festive season as it is truly a classic red that looks perfect around this time of year!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dark Night Water-loops (£6.49)
Last but certainly not least is the amazing 'Dark Night Water-loops' from Rimmel. Although I barely get any wear out of this shade because it is really dark, (the swatch doesn't do it justice,) I had to give it a special mention because it is the perfect vampy purple shade for Halloween - I am even wearing it as part of my costume this year! It is so fun to wear and it definitely turns a lot of heads!

So, those are my favourite autumn lipsticks at the moment! Have you tried any of these shades before and if so, what do you think of them? Also, if you can recommend any more autumnal shades that you think I need to get my hands on, then please let me know by leaving any suggestions down below!

My Monthly Favourites - August 2015

Hey guys, I'm back with another installment of monthly favourites for you! I have to admit I'm pretty sad that August has come to and end and we have now entered into September. This officially means that our summer is officially over! Soon enough, I'm going to have to start thinking about updating my wardrobe for autumn and donning a coat every time I leave the house - boooo! Moaning aside, however, August enabled me to fall in love with some new products and rediscover an old favourite too. So, let's see what I have been loving throughout the past four weeks!

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette - £38.00
It's never been a secret that my favourite UD palette has always been the Naked 2, as cool toned eyeshadows suit me a lot more that warm ones do! However, this month I have been turning to my Naked 3 palette a lot more than usual. Sometimes I just fancy wearing pink hues on my lids instead! A few of my most loved shadows within this gorgeous palette have been 'Limit,' which is a great crease shade, and 'Darkside' or 'Blackheart' for when I have been creating dramatic night time looks. As I'm sure you're all aware by now, these shadows have amazing staying power and pigmentation, which is why this palette has been such a holy grail for me throughout August!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Lip Stain in LA Exclusive - £8.99
Next up is a bit of a rediscovery for me, as I was raiding my lip product collection the other day and came across this lip stain from Revlon. I used to wear this shade so much back in the day and I'm so happy that I have started using it again. Not only is the formula of the Moisture Stain range incredible due to it's buttery and non-sticky consistency but 'LA Exclusive' is such a flattering colour on my skin tone. The only way I can describe it is as a muted and paler Barbie pink! I highly recommend this shade and the entire range of colours in general, so be sure to give them a little swatch in store next time you're in Boots or Superdrug.

NARS Translucent Loose Setting Powder - £26.50
As some of you may know, my parents got me a little NARS kit with a few products in for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! Although, I was a little dubious of using a loose powder as I had never used one before. However, now I have fallen in love with using this translucent powder to set my under eye concealer. I used to apply my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte all over but using a different powder for under my eye makes me feel so fancy! Now that have become accustomed to this new technique, I really want to buy another loose powder that will brighten up my eye area instead of using this one that has no colour to it.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Lip Pencil in Turn On - £13.50
Of course, lip pencils have become very popular again over the past year or so and I heard that the 24/7 Urban Decay range were top notch. So, this year I have purchased two of them! My favourite shade is 'Turn On,' which i the most stunning blue-toned pink! It certainly packs a punch colour wise but it isn't too over the top and that's why I love it so much. It makes a nice change when I don't want to wear a nude lip during the daytime! I also love the formula of these pencils so much; they are super duper creamy and comfortable to wear. Plus, they have great longevity too!

Garnier Ultimate Blends Shine Revitaliser Shampoo - £2.79
Last but not least, I normally use a shampoo that adds volume or thickness to my fine and lacklustre hair but I feel that can build up a horrible residue in my hair from time to time. So, when I want to use a more lightweight and clarifying shampoo, I have been using this one from Garnier. The whole Ultimate Blends range seems to be very popular right now as it gets the job done and you cannot beat the price point! I love the lemon and green tea scent too as it's so refreshing and uplifting in the mornings. It also adds some shine and life back into my hair when it's feeling dull from my volume shampoo as well!

So, those are my favourites from the month of August. I have loved using them and would highly recommend them to all of my followers! Now, I cannot wait to see what September brings and what I will enjoy using next. What have been you favourite products this month? Have you used any of my favourites before? Let me know by leaving a comment down below!

A Mini Revlon Haul

After saving up lots of Boots Advantage Card points over the past six months or so, I finally decided to bite the bullet and spend them whilst I was in store on Wednesday! I was planning on saving up a few more points so that I could purchase a more high-end item but it turns out that nothing was really catching my eye. Plus, I have already asked for some 'posh' make-up for my birthday (which is next week - yay!) So, with £17 worth of points to spend, I ended up perusing the aisles for quite a while until I stumbled upon the Revlon stand. Lots of items caught my eye and what with it being 3 for 2 on all of their products, I started swatching and putting things into my basket.

I have been wanting to get my hands on a few of the new Ultra HD Lipsticks (£7.99) for a while now and I decided to pick up the shades 'Orchid' and 'Hibiscus.' Orchid is a gorgeous bright fuchsia that packs a real punch and Hibiscus is a lovely orange/coral colour, which is perfect for this time of year. I have already tried these two out to test them and I love how they feel on the lips. They are so lightweight and feel more like a buttery balm than a lipstick! The fact that they are glossy rather than matte means that the lipsticks are not that long-lasting but they are beautiful nonetheless!

Most of the nail varnishes in my collection are red, pink and purple hues (apart from the odd nude or sparkly number,) so I wanted to pick up a blue shade that would be perfect for this summer. I have heard from countless bloggers that the ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Polish (£6.99) collection is really great, so I opted for the shade called 'Full House.' I am really excited to test this polish out as it is supposed to mimic real gel nails - aka super shiny and chip-resistant.

Lastly, there was an amazing deal where if you purchased three items you would receive a Lash Potion Grow Luscious Mascara (worth £9.99) for free! I opted for the waterproof version as even though I hate how difficult they are to remove if you don't have an oil-based make-up remover or cleanser to hand, I know that waterproof formulas hold a curl incredibly well. I have very straight and fine eyelashes and even when I use eyelash curlers, they tend to drop pretty quickly. I'll be sure to give this mascara a try and report back soon!

So, those are the four Revlon products that I managed to pick up using my Boots points earlier in the week. Have you tried any of these products before? What make-up items have you hauled recently? Let me know by popping a comment in the box down below!

My Monthly Favourites - April 2015

I was surprised to see that I hadn't done a monthly favourites in a while, so I thought that it was only right that I got back on track! I have been loving a bunch of products this month but I finally managed to whittle it down to these fab four. During April, not only have I discovered new products that work really well for me but I also dug out one or two older products in my stash too. So if you want to know all about these beauty marvels, keep reading!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Kiss Me Coral
I bought this lip gloss around this time last year and unfortunately, I soon forgot about it... until now that is! Now that spring is in full swing, I am really enjoying wearing coral colours on my lips once again (this and MAC's 'Crosswires' are my two faves!) The main reason that I love this gloss is due to its formulation. It glides on like a dream but more importantly, it is not sticky in the slightest. Sticky and gloopy glosses are just the worst! I also love how it gives a high-shine finish to my pout, as there are little flecks of gold glitter running through it too. This is a must buy drugstore lip product for the upcoming season!

Benefit High Beam
I've had this mini High Beam after receiving it in one of Benefit's beauty kits for my 20th birthday. I used to only use this product on special occasions and nights out on the town, however, recently I have been reaching for it on an everyday basis. I love how well it highlights both the tops of my cheekbones and brow bone perfectly! The pearly-coloured liquid formula blends like a dream and a little goes a long way. It adds a gorgeous glow to my skin and I will certainly be buying the full-size version when this one runs out.

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick
After lusting after it for quite a while, I finally got my hands on this infamous lipstick and I love it! Velvet Teddy somehow looks different on everybody depending on their skin tones but on me, its a very true brown nude with the slightest pink undertone. I had never tried any of MAC's matte formulation before and I was expecting it to be very drying but surprisingly, it wears very comfortably on my lips!

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
Lastly is this wonderful cleanser that I picked up on my latest beauty haul (read here.) I was originally going into The Body Shop to re-purchase the popular cleansing oil but I decided to switch it up and go for the cleansing butter instead. I love the feel of this product and how it turns into an silky oil as you massage it into your skin. It's great as part of a double cleanse to remove any remaining scraps of make-up! It leaves my skin feeling really smooth and nourished at the end of a long day, plus the camomile calms my skin down too.

So, those are my four monthly favourites from throughout April. I am very excited to now be entering into May as it's officially my birthday month (woo!) Therefore, I am sure that I will have lots of brand spanking new favourites to come. What have been your favourite beauty products lately? What are you looking forward to this month? Let me know by jotting down a comment below!

Recent Re-Discoveries

I'm sure that many of my fellow beauty bloggers can relate to me when I say that when you have so many products, it's easy to forget about some of them from time to time. This happens to me on a regular basis but recently, I have been consciously trying to make use of some of these forgotten gems that have been pushed to the back of my stash! So today, I wanted to show you some of my recent re-discoveries. Let's jump right in!

MAC Crosswires Lipstick
Crosswires is the first lipstick that I ever bought from MAC and I hadn't worn it in such a long time... until now. I don't know whether its the sudden bout of sunshine we're having here in the UK that's bought on my love for all things coral once again but I have been wearing this gorgeous shade a lot more lately!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in India Intrigue
It's fair to say that when the Moisture Stains came out, they were very much a 'Marmite' product. Some people loved them, like myself, but others hated the formula. However, I personally love how it is a high pigmented gloss that then leaves you with a subtle long-lasting stain afterwards. I love this shade in particular as it suits my skin tone really well and I am so glad that I have re-discovered it.

O.P.I Nail Lacquer in You're Such A Budapest

Now that spring has sprung, I'm getting back into wearing bright and pastel colours on my nails again. I had well and truly forgotten about this polish until the other day but I'm glad that I found it in my stash. It's a soft blue with a tiny hint of lilac, that goes opaque in just two coats and is pretty chip resistant too!

Clinique High Impact Mascara

I re-disovered this Clinique mini when I was clearing out my never-ending make-up bag and it made me remember how much I loved it. This mascara is perfect for everyday wear when you want your lashes to look lengthened, yet natural at the same time. It gives you that perfect, although subtle fluttery finish.

So guys, those are my four recent re-discoveries! Let me know if you have tried any of the products above before, I'd love to get your take on them. Also, have you found any old hidden gems in the depths of your make-up collection? Please let me know if you have by popping a comment down below!

My Monthly Favourites - November 2014

Hi guys. I am extremely excited that we have now come to the end of November because we can now well and truly focus on all things Christmas! I cannot wait to put up all of our decorations, wrap up tons of presents and eat too much indulgent food. However, before I can do all of those things, I have the small matter of my monthly favourites to address! I have to admit that I haven't been too adventurous beauty-wise this month as I have had a lot of days indoors or have just been running errands, but I still have a few bits so share with you all. So let's get started!

Garnier Body Oil Beauty Nourishing Lotion - £4.99
First up, my skin has gotten very dry all of sudden now that the cold weather is finally upon us. So when I saw this body lotion from Garnier on the shelf, I just had to pick it up. The fact that this particular lotion was oil-infused made me think that it could do wonders for my skin - and I was right! Not only does it nourish and hydrate my skin but the formulation of the lotion is amazing. It's very smooth and easy to rub in, so you don't have to do too much work in that respect. Although it doesn't sink in super fast, it still does it in less time than you would expect for such a rich product. I would highly recommend this to anybody who's skin needs an extra boost of moisture!

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Standout - £7.99
Like most beauty bloggers around this time of year, I love a good red lip! There's something about it that just screams Christmas and I recently rediscovered my Revlon matte balm in amongst my ever-growing lip crayon collection! The main reason that I love this crayon is because even though its matte, it is not at all drying on the lips. As well as this, it has great staying power too. As for the red colour itself, 'Standout' is a gorgeous true red shade that would suit a whole range of different skin tones. It's definitely a must-have product for me right now!

Nivea Sensitive Day Cream - £4.49
As I mentioned earlier, since the bitter cold weather has set in, my skin has gone haywire and in turn it is very dry in places. However, I have also noticed that my skin in the past month or so has a lot of redness too. So, I picked up this sensitive day cream from Nivea because I had already tried the Rich Moisturising version in the past and loved it. This version claims to reduce redness, tightness and dryness - which I totally agree with. I have really been enjoying this moisturiser a lot and so far it has helped with hydrating my dry patches a lot. Plus as it is quite rich in texture, a little goes a long way with this product, so I have a feeling that this tube is going to last me for quite a while.

Lush Ultrabland Cleanser - £7.25
This cleanser from Lush is an old favourite of mine and I always come back to it! Sometimes I think that its a good idea to go back to basics with skincare and really strip it back, as let's face it, us beauty bloggers use a large concoction of products on our faces! The fact that Lush's skincare is so natural really appeals to me and Ultrabland is the perfect gentle cleanser for me. Its ingredients include almond oil and beeswax, which means that it leaves your skin feeling so soft and supple. As it is a balm cleanser, Ultrabland is also excellent at removing all traces of make-up without leaving a greasy residue like most oil-based cleansers do. Overall, I will always purchase this cleanser time and time again because it's just excellent and gets the job done!

Miss Selfridge Body Mist - £4.00
Last but not least is this gorgeous body mist from Miss Selfridge. I have to admit that this was a bit of an impulse buy whilst out with my Mum in our local Arcadia store. The mist was right at the checkout and I normally dismiss products like that but this time, I couldn't resist. After spritzing it, I realised that the fragrance was an incredible quality seeing as it was made by a high street clothing brand. On their website, the scent is described as being a blend of lemongrass, ginger and rosemary; so as you can imagine, it is a light and fresh smell. I tend to use the mist on days where I am not doing too much and I do not want to reach for some of my more expensive perfumes - and it certainly does the trick. For such a budget friendly product, I am really impressed with it and I highly recommend to all of you!

So, those are my five beauty favourites for the month of November. I hope you enjoyed reading all about them! Which products do you like the sound of? What are your favourites this month? Please let me know by leaving a comment below. As I said earlier on, I am really happy that November is now over because now I can well and truly get into the Christmas spirit. Also, remember to stay tuned to my blog in the up and coming weeks to see lots of festive posts! Thank you :)

My Top 3 Autumn Lip Colours

Ever since I can remember, I have been a huge fan of bold lip colours. I really believe that a statement lip can really take your make-up look to the next level. My make-up always feels incomplete and bland unless I have a pop of colour on my pout! Now that we are now into autumn and winter, one of the most obvious and popular trends out there is berry lips. So today, I thought that I would share my top three favourite autumn lip colours with you all. I hope you enjoy!

Rimmel Provocalips Lip Colour in Kiss Fatal - £6.99
First up is the newest addition to my lip product collection. I went out and bought this product on the very first day that it was released because I was really intrigued about the claims Rimmel were making. The whole Provocalips range claims to be kiss proof and transfer proof, which I completely agree with - this stuff does not budge! It's two steps of applying the colour and then the top coat is a genius idea and it really locks everything into place. 'Kiss Fatal' is a gorgeous purple/mauve shade with brown undertones and is even more intense than my swatch shows below! This is one of my favourite products to wear at the moment due to its unique shade and impressive longevity. You have to give it a try!

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in Dark Night Waterl-oops! - £6.49
Next on my list is this stunning lipstick, again from Rimmel London. 'Dark Night Water-loops!' is a super dark and intense plum colour that is one step up from one of the most talked about Moisture Renew lipsticks, 'Sloane's Plum.' The formulation of this product is one of the other main reasons as to why I love it so much, it is so creamy and moistursing! In addition, this product will not make any dry or flaky patches look obvious, which can often happen when you opt for bold lips. I highly recommend 'Dark Night Water-loops!' to anyone who is a fan of rich and almost gothic looking shades, as this one certainly packs a punch!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush - £7.99
Last but not least is the product that first got me into berry coloured lips, Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. This beautiful lip crayon allows you to get the same effect of a statement lip whilst being a little bit sheerer than the lip stain and lipstick that I have mentioned above. 'Crush' is a great product for beginners who are just venturing out into the world of darker lip colours. It is a classic berry shade that suits every skin tone and is incredibly easy to apply! Another great factor to this product is that it is also a balm, which means that it is moistursing and does not dry out your lips in anyway. This crayon will always be a firm favourite of mine (I've already gotten through almost two,) so I highly recommend it to all of you as well!

(Shades from top to bottom: Kiss Fatal, Dark Night Water-loops!, Crush)

So, those are my top three favourite lip colours for autumn. Berry shades are bang on trend at this time every year and I absolutely love them! Which out of the three products above do you like the look of most? Have you used any of them before? What is your go to autumn lip colour? Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

My Clubbing Make-Up Look

Hi guys. I went out clubbing with my friends for the first time in ages on Saturday night as it was my best friends leaving do (she's going to work in Barcelona for nine months!) One of my favourite parts of the night is dolling myself up and taking ages perfecting my make-up, as you can really go all out! I just love getting the opportunity to dress up as often as I can, as it gives me much more confidence and I love seeing how my outfit and make-up always come together. So today I thought that I would show you all what make-up I used to achieve this night time look. Let's get started!

Here are the products that I used to complete this look:

Benefit Porefessional Primer (mini version)
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in Ivory
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer in Light
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Rimmel Blusher in Coral Rose (now discontinued)
Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer in Light Matte
Benefit High Beam Highlighter (mini version)
Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara in Black
Maybelline Master Shape Brow Pencil in Dark Blonde
Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stain in India Intrigue

Before I started my make-up, I prepped my skin by cleansing and moisturising to ensure that my skin was fresh and hydrated ready to apply my base. Firstly, I applied my Porefessional primer to the places where my make-up tends to slip off and where my face gets oily - which is mainly in my T-zone area. I then applied my Maybelline foundation to give my skin a flawless and even finish. I like to use two thin layers of my foundation for when I'm going out to get my desired level of coverage. After this, I applied my Lumi Magique concealer under my eyes to eliminate any dark circles and to brighten up the area a little.

I then left my base for the time being and started on my eyes. I began by applying my Rimmel liquid eyeliner to create a subtle cat-eye flick, which is my go to look as it really suits my eye shape. I then curled my eyelashes and applied two coats of my Lash Accelerator mascara, concentrating mainly on my bottom lashes as I was going to apply some false lashes later. I then used my dark blonde Maybelline brow pencil to naturally fill in my eyebrows. After this, I returned to my base and applied my Rimmel blush to my cheeks and also contoured ever so slightly in the hollows of my cheeks using my Sun Shimmer matte bronzer. To finish off my face, I added a few dots of Benefit's High Beam to the tops of my cheekbones to highlight the area and give my face some luminosity too.

For my lips, I simply used my Revlon Moisture Stain in the shade 'India Intrigue' as the colour matched the flowers on my playsuit almost identically. To finish off my look, I applied some Ardell Demi Wispie fake eyeslashes, which add amazing length to my usually short and open up my eyes a lot. Lastly, I also spritzed some of my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray over my face to make sure that everything was set in place and would not budge throughout the night!

(A photo of me and my friends during the night)

So, those are the products that I used to create my make-up look on Saturday night! What do you guys think? I was really happy with the results and my make-up pretty much stayed in place all night long (until 3am to be exact!) I love experimenting with night time, more dramatic looks and I cannot wait to go out again soon so that I can get all glammed up once again!

Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stains Review

The Revlon ColorStay Moisture Stains have finally reached the UK and they are causing quite a stir amongst all of us beauty bloggers, and with good reason too! Despite the fact that these stains have only been on sale for a few weeks, they are already proving to be extremely popular. Over the weekend I picked up two shades from the collection and I am obsessed with them already, so I knew I had to a do a review on them pronto. Let's get started!

So far, there are 12 gorgeous shades in this ever-so-popular collection and each product name is a different city from around the world; London Posh, Milan Moment, LA Exclusive, Cannes Crush, Barcelona Nights, Rio Rush, Miami Fever, India Intrigue, Shanghai Sizzle, Stockholm Chic, New York Scene and Parisian Passion. The two shades that I opted for are LA Exclusive (a Barbie-like baby pink) and India Intrigue (a deep pink.)

As for the formula, I have heard that they have quite a similarity to the YSL Glossy Stains, although I have never personally tried them. When first applied to the lips, the gloss does feel quite thick but it actually feels buttery and not at all sticky. The pigmentation is also seriously amazing, as the colour instantly comes out very opaque. I love how wide the doe foot applicator is too, as it makes swiping on the gloss an absolute breeze! The applicator has a slight pointed tip as well, which is very handy for when you want to be more precise around your lip line. As the glossiness wears away over time, you are then left with a nice and even stain to your lips which is very long-lasting.

Another great thing about the ColorStay Moisture Stains is the packaging. I love sleek design, as well as the fact that you can see the colour of the product clearly, instead of having to open it or look at the product name itself ti ensure you have the correct product. This packaging is simple yet effective and it looks great in my clear lipstick storage container on my shelf.

There are some great offers on this product at the moment. In Boots, you can pick up a Moisture Stain for £7.99 and get a second one for half price. Superdrug also have an amazing offer where you can buy the product for just £5.99, what a bargain! Although, I am not sure how long this offer is on for so best get in quick if you want to grab a couple of shades.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my overview of the ColorStay Moisture Stains. I am really loving the two colours that I have bought so far and no doubt, I will probably pick up a few more in the near future as the formulation and shade range is so on point! What do you think of this new range? Have you tried it yet? What is your favourite shade? Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

The Lip Product Addict Tag

Hi guys. Today I thought that I would do the Lip Product Addict Tag, which was originally created by YouTubers Amelia Liana and Essiebutton (watch here.) The reason behind me doing this tag is simply because I seem to be lacking in inspiration this week but I still wanted to post something whilst I try to get my blogging mojo back! The beauty product that I obsess over most is definitely lipstick and I always seem to buy a new one whenever I pop into Boots or Superdrug, it's an addiction of mine! Hence, I thought that this tag was the perfect fit me. So, lets get started!

1. Favourite balm/treatment?
I really loving using Carmex to nourish my lips throughout the day or over night. I love its thick consistency as it really feels like it is doing something to your lips. Not only this but this balm is so cheap which is a huge bonus seeing as I have gotten through quite a few tubes of it already and use it almost every day. My favourite flavour to use is cherry as it smells delicious! I also think that there is a hint of menthol in this product as it really makes your lips tingle when you apply it too!

2. Best eye-catching red?

I would have to say that my favourite red to wear is Revlon's ColorBurst Matte Balm in the shade 'Standout,' which is a deep red. I love the matte finish to this product as it is not at all drying on the lips and  think that sometimes super glossy reds can make you look a little over done. This crayon is super long-lasting too - which is great for when I want to wear a statement red lip on a night out and I don't want it to budge!

3. Best luxury & best drugstore?

For luxury, I love my new Clinique Chubby Stick in the shade 'Woopin' Watermelon.' I am a huge chubby stick fan and I just love the colour of this. It is a pale pink shade that is quite sheer, so it is perfect to wear during the day time. I usually layer it over Benefit's Posie Tint and these two product together give the most amazing natural and pretty look. As for drugstore, I think you cannot beat the formulation of Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipsticks. They are really moisturising and creamy, plus the shade range that they have is amazing. There is definitely something for everybody! One of my favourite shades is 'Dark Knight Water-loops!' which is a stunning dark plum shade which is perfect for creating a vampy make-up look.

4. Best MAC lipstick?
Surprisingly, I only own one MAC lipstick and this is because I am often on a budget and I find that the range of lip products in the drugstore is pretty amazing anyway! However, the one lipstick from MAC that I do own is called 'Crosswires.' It is a gorgeous coral/pink shade which is part of their creme sheen collection. It is a beautiful summer shade that looks great with a tan and instantly perks up your complexion!

5. The most disappointing?

The most disappointing lip product in my collection is Barry M's Ultra Moisturising Lip Paint in the shade 156. This lipstick does not last long on the lips at all and it is quite a pain to have to constantly re-apply it. For me this is a real shame because it's deep pink/berry shade is actually really gorgeous, it's just a pity that it fades so quick!

6. Liner - yes or no?

I do not tend to use liner because lipstick does not seem to bleed on my lips, so I think for me personally, it is an unnecessary step. However, I do love the look of using lip liner if you are doing a bold lip as it gives you a lot more precision and definition.

7. Best gloss?

My favourite gloss at the moment is Revlon's Super Lustrous Lipgloss in Kiss Me Coral. Not only is the formulation of the gloss lightweight and not overly sticky, but the colour itself is gorgeous too. This coral/red gloss has amazing pigmentation for a gloss and it also has fleck of glitter run through it, which makes it even more pretty!

8. Something extra!

I could not do the Lip Product Addict Tag without mentioning Bourjois' Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks. Everybody in the blogging community is talking about these bad boys and for good reason! These liquid lipsticks are not only affordable but the six shades in the range are so bright and stunning. I have the colour 'Frambourjosie,' which is vivid pink and this is without a doubt the most long wearing product that I own. It does not budge all day and it's matte finish is really flattering without being drying or patchy.

So guys, I hope you all enjoyed reading my answer to the Lip Product Addict Tag. Rather than tagging specific fellow bloggers to complete this tag, I would like to tag everybody who is reading this post to try the questions out for themselves! If you do complete the tag, make sure to leave a link to it below so that I can check out your answers! Thank you :)

My Lip Crayon Collection | Revlon, L'Oréal and Rimmel

Hi guys. Over the past year or two, lip crayons have majorly taken off in the beauty world. Ever since the release of Clinique's Chubby Sticks, almost every brand on the market have created their own dupes of the ever so popular product. Lip crayons are incredibly handy and useful as they give a wash of colour to the lips whilst moisturising them at the same time. These products seem to be handbag heroes too; I always have at least one thrown into the bottom of my bag in case of emergency. They are incredibly easy to apply, especially if you are out and about, as you do not necessarily need a mirror or excellent precision to apply them.

My lip crayon collection has grown steadily within this time and I thought that I would share some of my favourites with all of you today. I will be focusing on three high street brands that I think have nailed this popular trend perfectly; Revlon, L'Oréal and Rimmel. So, let's get started!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
First up is one of the new Revlon Lacquer Balms released back in January of this year. 'Whimsical' is a lovely berry pink, purple-y shade that has lots of little specks of glitter running through it. I would say that this product is not that highly pigmented, it gives a nice wash of colour but it can be built up if desired. I think this should would suit every skin tone and it looks lovely on a night out!

Rimmel Color Rush Balm in The Redder The Better - £5.99
This stunning true red shade from Rimmel is definitely one of my favourites. I love the effect that a red lip gives and this product is no exception. Aside from the colour, this crayon is also incredibly moisturising and long wearing but when it does fade, it does so evenly. Plus, its cocoa and vanilla-like scent is a delicious bonus too!

L'Oréal Glam Shine Balmy Gloss in Sin For Peach - £6.99
Although the name is a little misleading, this crayon is the most gorgeous colour for every day wear. I would describe it as a pinky nude colour that is 'your lips but better.' Out of all of the aforementioned crayons, this one is by far the most moisturising too. It glides on very well and is so smooth that at times, I forget that I am even wearing a lip product at all! Being the newest addition to my collection, I definitely want to try another colour as soon as possible.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Standout - £7.99
'Standout,' one of the new matte balms from Revlon's ColorBurst collection, is a dark cherry red shade. At first, I had my concerns about buying a matte lip product as they can be very drying and show up any flaky patches that you may have. However, this product surprised me - It glides on so nicely. It is very long-wearing too, as on a night out I only have to top it up once. The colour is absolutely stunning and is great if you want to make a statement!

Rimmel Color Rush Balm in Rumor Has It - £5.99
'Rumor Has It' is a beautiful bright pink shade that looks especially amazing during spring and summer. This crayon is highly pigmented, yet the colour is definitely buildable. One layer leaves a lovely subtle pink colour on the lips. However, a couple more coats really brings this vibrant colour to life. As with my other Color Rush Balm mentioned above, I just cannot get enough of its cocoa/vanilla scent too!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush - £7.99
Last but not least is the first lip crayon that I ever bought. 'Crush' is a stunning deep berry colour that suits all skin tones. Out of all of my crayons, this one certainly lasts the longest on the lips due to it being more of a stain than a balm or gloss. I love pairing this product with a cat eye and lashings of mascara for a vampy evening look. As with all Revlon crayons, 'Crush' also has a minty scent to it that makes your lips tingle upon application, which I really like.

(Shades from left to right: Whimsical, The Redder The Better, Sin For Peach, Standout, Rumor Has It, Crush)

So, that's it for my lip crayon collection. I would definitely recommend any of these products to all of you, they are seriously amazing. I am the biggest lip crayon fan as they are so quick & easy to use and I am sure that my collection will continue to grow in the near future! What is your opinion on lip crayons? Have you used any of these products before? Which ones are your favourites? Please feel free to let me know in the comments below. Thank you! :)

My Monthly Favourites - March 2014

Hi guys. It's that time of the month again where I share with all of you what I have been loving beauty wise all throughout March. I have gone a little crazy recently in terms of buying new products - there have been a lot of amazing deals on the high street that were just too good to pass up! Furthermore, a lot of these items are relatively new favourites, apart from one product that I re-discovered and have fallen back in love with. So, without any further ado, let's dive right in!

Dove Go Fresh Nourshing Body Wash Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent - £2.40
First up is a body wash from the Dove 'Go Fresh' collection. After loving one of the other washes in the collection, which was featured in my February favourites (which you can read here,) I decided to give another scent ago. Whilst I was in Sainsbury's recently, there was a half price offer on, so I snapped up two more; Revive and one other scent which I am sure I will talk about on my blog soon. Every product I have ever tried from Dove has been really gentle on the skin and extremely moisturising at the same time, and this product is no exception. However, of course the main reason I love this body wash is the scent. The pomegranate and lemon verbena smells absolutely amazing and is a lovely pick-me-up in the morning. I cannot recommend this range enough!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
Next is a product that has been raved about ever since it's release here in the UK back in January. Both the Revlon Lacquer Balms and Matte Balms have taken the drugstore by storm and it's no surprise as to why - they are seriously amazing! The newest lip crayon in my collection is 'Whimsical,' which is a lovely berry pink/purple shade that contains lots of little flecks of glitter too. Although the glitter can feel slightly grainy on the lips from time to time, it's pretty easy to ignore because the colour pay off and the formulation of this product is great. After it has been on your lips for a while and has started to wear off, Whimsical leaves a subtle stain too the lips too - which is perfect if you are after a product that is long-lasting and great for a night out.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector in Light Matte - £6.99
I have recently done a full review of this product on my blog (read here,) so I am not going to go into too much detail. However, I am seriously in love with this instant tan! I am not an avid tanner and I am always dubious of using fake tan in case it goes horribly wrong, so a wash off one is right up my street! This instant tan and BB cream hybrid gives an amazing bronzed colour to the skin whilst hiding any imperfections really well - such as scarring or uneven skin tone. It glides onto the skin seamlessly and does not cling onto any dry patches of skin, even if you do not exfoliate beforehand - which I accidentally did. For a mere £6.99, this product is definitely worth trying if you like having a tan for special occasions without having the commitment of a fake tan that develops and is ore permanent!

Essie Nail Polish in Splash Of Grenadine - £7.99
All I can say is... this nail polish is gorgeous! This may come as a surprise to some of you but I have only ever owned one Essie nail varnish, which is one of the nail effects glittery top coats. So, this is the first normal Essie product that I have tried. I heard about this colour after watching one of Essiebutton's videos and I wanted to to give it a try immediately. 'Splash Of Grenadine' also reminded me of a L'Oreal Color Riche polish I had that dried out called 'Acid Watermelon,' which is almost identical. This beautiful shade is a vivid orchid colour which is extremely eye-catching and perfect for this time of year. Plus, this colour is deemed to be huge this spring/summer, so this polish will keep you on trend too which is always a bonus!

Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector - £9.99
Last but certainly not least is an old favourite that I re-discovered whilst having a product clear out! Last year, I had a lot of scarring left on my cheeks after multiple ghastly breakouts. So, I decided to look for a product other than Bio Oil that could banish the dark pigmentation left on my skin. Palmers Eventone Dark Spot Corrector was my product of choice and my god, it's amazing! Within weeks, my scarring had gone down significantly and I was left seriously impressed. However, along with correcting dark areas, this moisturiser/serum is great for brightening your entire face too as it features vitamin C in its list of ingredients. The only thing I would say is that this does leave a film of glitter all over your skin, so it is best used at night time unless you want a sparkly base to apply your make-up on top of!

I hope you have enjoyed reading about my March favourites, I have definitely fallen in love with all of these products! Have you tried any of these before? What beauty items have you been reaching for this month? Please let me know in the comments below! Thank you :)

Boots 3 for 2 | No7 and Revlon

Hi guys, yesterday I popped into Boots whilst I was in town with my Mum and I just couldn't resist their current 3 for 2 offer on make-up, skincare and haircare. I'm not too sure how long the deal is running for, so I would get in quick if I were you! Knowing that I am pretty set on skincare at the moment and have a solid routine, as well as not being into haircare very much - I decided to head straight for the the make-up aisle. It took me absolutely ages to decide on what to buy because there are some amazing products out right now. However, I finally settled on an old favourite in the form of No7's Extreme Length Mascara and two Revlon lip products that caught my eye. I am extremely happy with my purchases and so, here is a little review of what I think of them so far.

No7 Extreme Length Mascara in Black - £12.50
First up is an old favourite of mine that I discovered near the end of 2012. As I am a girl with very fine, short and sparse lashes, I find it extremely difficult to find a mascara that I like and that actually works well. With that in mind, this mascara does the trick for me even though I had forgotten about it for a long time after discovering Benefit's 'They're Real'. This mascara gives my lashes a lot of length (as the name suggests,) although it does lack on the volume front, so I tend to team it with another mascara to get that perfect lash effect. The small, rubber wand is perfect for making sure that you coat even the smallest of lashes and get right in to those corners. Overall, I highly recommend this product for those with similar lashes to mine. However, I do think I still prefer my Benefit mascara due to it giving that slight bit of volume that the No7 one lacks.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Kiss Me Coral - £6.99
Next up is the product that I was most excited about. I have been hearing great things about this lip gloss range for a while, yet I have never got around to trying it until now. 'Kiss Me Coral' is a beautiful, you guessed it, coral shade which contains lots of tiny glitter particles. I think that this is such a perfect lip colour to wear in spring/summer, which is fast approaching. Not only is the formulation not sticky, the pigmentation of this gloss is great too. I cannot tell you how many times I have bought a coral lip gloss that looks amazing in the packaging, to get home and realise it almost looks transparent on the lips! The only qualm I have with this product is that the doe foot applicator is pretty small and does not hold a lot of product, which means that I have to dip it in a few times to get enough gloss to coat my lips. However, when the colour is this gorgeous, it's a small price to pay!

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical - £7.99
Last but not least is one of Revlon's recently released lacquer balms. After having bought one of the matte balms in the collection, Standout, which you can read about here - I decided it was only right for me to try out a lacquer as well. 'Whimsical' is a gorgeous berry pink/purple shade with lots of glitter running through it which gives a lovely effect, although it does feel a little grainy on your lips at times. This colour in particular is a little sheer but with a few coats, it can be built up to quite an opaque colour. As with all of the Revlon balms, Whimsical has a subtle peppermint fragrance which in turn does tingle on the lips when first applied. Although the balms are not as long lasting as the matte ones, it does stay on for around 4 hours and leaves your lips with a nice stain once the shininess has worn away. I love this product and I will certainly be buying more in the future!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about what I purchased as part of Boots' 3 for 2 deal. Have you taken advantage of this deal yet? Have you tried any of these products before? Please let me know in the comments below :)

My Monthly Favourites - February 2014

Hi guys. It's that time of the month again for me to talk about my monthly favourites. I always forget that February is the shortest month of the year, so this has come around so quickly! I have bought a couple of new items recently, as well as discovering an old favourite so I have a lot of recommendations for you all. So, on that note, let's get started!

First up is this Dove body wash. I have never featured a body wash on my blog before because let's face it, they aren't all that interesting! Although, I think I have become addicted to this one in particular. I have always been a fan of Dove as a brand because all of their products have great moisturising properties that do not dry out my skin in the slightest. However, the main reason I love this product is simply the scent. The combination of plum and sakura blossom (,a fancy name for cherry blossom,) smells divine. In fact, the whole Go Fresh line has a lovely range of scents and I have pretty much tried all of them. I will definitely be re-purchasing this body wash again in the future, I cannot get enough.

Next up is a product that had been forgotten about in the back of my drawer for a little while now. I am a huge fan of sea salt sprays as they give great texture for my fine hair, especially when I have my hair in loose, beachy curls - which I do most days. I bought this spray in Sainsbury's, which coincidentally is the only place I have ever seen it being sold, to replace my Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray. The reason for this is purely because I wanted a cheaper alternative to the Toni & Guy version, even though I do prefer that one by a slight margin. Never the less, this spray does an excellent job and I thoroughly recommend it.

This product is probably my favourite out of the bunch this month. Since it's release, this product has been extremely hyped up in the beauty blogging world but for good reason! After contemplating for at least 15 minutes about which shade to try first, I finally settled on 'Standout' - a dark, cherry red shade. My main concern about this matte balm was that it would really dry out my lips and cling to any flaky patches, however, it doesn't at all. It glides on so nicely and sits really well on lips, plus I love the colour! It is also so long-lasting, to the point where I only had to top it up once whilst I was out clubbing last weekend. In addition to this, I think the matte packaging is a nice extra touch by Revlon, so that you can easily differentiate between the these and the lacquer balms that have also been released. I highly recommend this balm to anybody who hasn't got around to trying them yet (where have you been?) It's definitely a toss up between the colours 'Elusive' or 'Sultry' as to which shade I try next.

Another great yet inexpensive product that I have been loving this month is this Nivea day cream. The reason behind this purchase was because the other week I had a terrible cold which left my skin really dry, especially round the nose area. Due to the fact that my skin is usually oily, I tend to stick to my Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser but it just wasn't rich enough to treat those dry areas. Although this is a day cream I have been using at night time as it is very thick and rich, therefore its not good to use prior to applying makeup. Even after one night, my skin was so much softer and the dryness had already started to fade. Now after a week of using the cream, my skin is so supple and there is not a dry patch in sight. Not only this but strangely, my skin is now really clear and I have no blemishes at all. I don't know if this is merely a coincidence but hey, I'm happy! This is a great cream which will definitely now have a permanent place in my skin care regime.

Last but not least is this gorgeous highlighter from Topshop. I have only just written a review of this product on Monday (click here to read,) so I am going to keep this review short and sweet. This product is a cream highlighter which blends seamlessly due to it's texture. It adds a lovely luminosity to the skin and it looks beautiful on the tops of your cheekbones. It is quite a glittery highlighter so I am going to use it more at night time when I go to parties or out clubbing etc, as it certainly isn't subtle but I love that look! This is the first makeup product I have ever purchased in Topshop and I will definitely be buying more in the future!

So, that's it for this month! I hope you enjoyed reading about my February favourites. Which products have you been loving over the past month? I would love to know what you have been reaching for! Thank you :)
