Lush's Mask Of Magnaminty

One of the main beauty products that I normally neglect are face masks... well, that is until now! I have always been pretty lazy when it comes to incorporating masks into being part of my skincare routine and that is mainly down to the fact that I have never wanted to splash out on a product that I will only use once a week. Plus, I had never found one that worked well for my skin type! However, that all changed when my boyfriend recently treated me to this amazing mask from Lush Cosmetics.

The Mask of Magnaminty is full of natural ingredients that are super gentle on your skin but are still effective at the same time! Some of the main natural ingredients featured in this mask are peppermint oil, honey, African marigold oil and kaolin. The mint scented mask claims to be able to clean, calm and clear your skin of both spot outbreaks and any other impurities too - which I totally agree with! I like to apply this mask for 5-10 minutes once a week (usually on a Sunday evening) to restore my skin and give it a bit of a refresh. One thing that I like about this product in particular is that it has evening primrose seeds and aduki beans within the formula to gently exfoliate your skin as you rub it in as well, which ends up leaving your skin feeling incredibly soft after you remove the mask.

As some of you may know, Lush face masks are usually fresh and so most of them usually have an expiration date. However, I bought the self preserving version of this mask so that it would last for a lot longer and so I could ensure that I would not waste any of the product! A little goes a long way with this product too, so I know that I will not have to buy a new pot for quite a while.

Another great thing about this mask is that it can be used on your face or on your body too, so if anyof you suffer from spots or acne on your chest or back (something that I have battled with in the past,) this could be the perfect product for you!

For a small 125g tub of the Mask of Magnaminty, it will only set you back a mere £5.50. On the other hand, if you would like to purchase the larger 315g pot, you can get it for just £9.75. Personally, I think that this mask is excellent value for money in terms of how long it lasts. Plus, it is a lot more afforable than some of the more infamous and expensive masks out on the market that sometimes contain harsh chemicals and other nasties that can sometimes strip your skin!

So, what are you waiting for? Go and get your hands on this amazing face mask and see the difference that it makes you your skin! I guarantee that you will not be left disappointed!

Vaseline's Spray & Go Cocoa Radiant Moisturiser

Hi guys, today I am blogging about the ever-so-popular Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser (RRP £4.99.) Although this product has been on the shelves for quite a while now, I have only just gotten around to picking up a bottle. One of the main reasons for this is because I already had tons of moisturiers and body butters to get through before I could even fathom adding another one to my collection. However, now that I have worked through most of my stash, I must say that I am so pleased with the latest edition to my collection! So, I knew that I had to write a raving review on it ASAP. Let's get started!

The reason why I gravitated towards this product is because I tend to be quite lazy (like the majority of us are) when it comes to body moisturisation. The process of having to spend several minutes applying and rubbing in a thick moisturiser or body butter is very tedious, so it's a step in my beaut regime that I often avoid. However, I have definitely been converted to using Spray & Go because as the name suggests, it's very quick and easy to use!

First of all, the lotion comes out in a continuous and fine mist as you spray it all over your body. So, in hindsight, you can probably cover your entire body in mere seconds as opposed to when you apply a normal moistursing product. Secondly, the consistency of the product is incredibly light and so it requires minimal rubbing in and it does not feel at all greasy or sticky on the skin. Another thing that I love about Spray & Go is how it smells. There are three different scents to choose from in the range; Essential Moisture, Aloe Vera and Cocoa Radiant - which is what I opted for. Its rich cocoa scent is almost good enough to eat and it lingers on your skin for absolutely ages, I have even had compliments on it!

As for how my skin actually feels, it is definitely less dry but of course this is only a light every day moisturiser, so I will definitely still be reaching for my thicker lotions and body butters when my skin needs a real hit of hydration! However, Spray & Go is a great product to have in my bathroom to ensure that I remember to moisturise on a more regular basis (or every day if possible!)

Overall, I am extremely pleased that I finally purchased Spray & Go. It has definitely made moisturising much less of a chore for me and has turned it into something that I enjoy to do on a daily basis! I definitely recommend this moisturiser to anybody who is a little bit lazy like me, as it is such a handy product. Have you tried one of the scents in the Spray & Go range before? What were your thoughts on it? Please let me know by leaving a comment below, thank you!

Boots 3 For 2 | Soap & Glory

Soap & Glory is one of my favourite brands ever when it comes to bath & body products for a number of different reasons. Not only do their products nourish your skin really well but they have an amazing range of scents and adorable, quirky packaging too! The Soap & Glory range is exclusively sold in Boots, who have a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment where you get the cheapest item for free. So, I couldn't resist going in there and picking up a few bits as a little treat for myself! Today, I thought that I would write a mini review of each product and tell you what I think of them all. Let's get started!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash - £6.50
The Sugar Crush range is my favourite scent that Soap & Glory do, so I definitely had to buy this body wash. I have never used this product from the range before but I have used the Sugar Crush Scrub (which I will talk about below.) Of course, what initially drew me in to this item is it's delicious scent which features lime oil and kiwi juice water. I am huge fan of citrus scents as they are really refreshing and are a great pick-me-up in the morning. As for the wash itself, it lathers up really well when I work it into my loofah. A little goes a long way as I only use about 2 or 3 small pumps and this is enough for me to clean my entire body. For the size of the bottle (500ml,) I think that it's £6.50 price tag is very affordable as this is no doubt going to last me for quite a while!

Soap & Glory Foam Call Body Wash - £6.50
As I had already chosen both of the Sugar Crush products mentioned in this post, I decided to buy another body wash to complete the 3 for 2 offer. The reason I did this was to get the most out of my money and the deal by choosing a product at the highest possible price that I could still get for free! Foam Call's fragrance is part of S&G's Fruitigo range which includes orange oil and green fig - which is again another citrus range which I adore! This body wash lathers up very well, just like the Sugar Crush one does too. With two bottles of this body wash, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be pretty set shower gel wise for a long time!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub - £8.00
Last but not least, and my favourite from the bunch, is the Sugar Crush Scrub. Similarly to the body wash, I'm addicted to the scent of this! The scrub also includes brown sugar and macadamia grains which make up its gritty texture, which makes it perfect for exfoliating. Whats great about this product is that it is not too harsh but it is not too gentle either, so it is excellent at removing dry skin from the surface of your body without being too abrasive. I have had a tub of this before and it lasted me a good few months, so again this product is great value for money as well. I am looking forward to using this again especially as I am not getting back into fake tan and exfoliation is a key part of that process!

I hope you all enjoyed reading about the Soap & Glory products that I picked up in Boots' 3 for 2 offer. I'm really looking forward to using them! Have you tried any of these before? What is your favourite Soap & Glory product? Please let me know by leaving a comment below. Thank you!

Garnier's Summer Body Moisturising Lotion

Hi guys. I have never really been a fan of fake-tanning before because I find the process so laborious and time-consuming, plus most products that I have used have never lived up to my expectations. Either the end result is too light or too dark, or from time to time, patchy. However, I am a big fan of moisturisers like this one from Garnier, as it builds up a natural colour over time rather than you going from a milk bottle to a bronzed goddess overnight. This product is also a great alternative for beginners or fake tan novices, as it is less daunting to use and gives a more subtle finish. So today, I thought that I would do a little review of this product sharing what I think of it. Let's get started!

Garnier's Summer Body Moisturising Lotion is a mix between a body lotion and a gradual tanner which leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturised for over 12 hours. Summer Body comes in two shades so that it can cater for all different skin tones. The light lotion is suitable for those with pale to fair skin and claims to leave you with a light sunkissed look, whereas the darker version gives a deeper colour and is best suited to those with medium, olive or darker skin tones. The great thing about this product is that you can control how often you use it and therefore, you can control the end result too. Using the lotion for a day or two will enable you to get a noticeable colour and a healthy glow, or alternatively you can use the lotion for longer if you want to build up the intensity of the tan.

I opted for the lighter version as my skin tone is fair and even after one application, I got amazing results. My skin had a noticeable light tanned colour to it which was not overly orange (something that I know a lot of people worry about!) The colour was perfect for me and so I decided that I did not need to bother with a second application the following night! Although you would usually use your hands to apply lotion, I would suggest using a tanning mitt instead like you would if you were applying a proper fake tan product. Not only will this give you a much more even result, you will also avoid getting orange hands. The only thing you will need to bear in mind is that the lotion does go on clear, so take care not to miss any patches!

The other great thing about this product is that it does not have your typical fake tan smell, which can often have a 'biscuit-y' scent. Summer Body contains natural apricot extracts which means that the lotion is fruity and a lot more pleasant to apply than the likes of St Moritz and so on. Even though the moisturiser has a fast absorption and drying time, I still like to wait a little while before I get dressed just to be on the safe side. I usually apply this at night time too, so that I can then throw on some loose pyjamas to go to bed in. I have also applied this to my face (mixed in with a bit of my normal moisturiser) and have never encountered any problems whether it be clinging to dry patches or clogging up my pores/causing spots. I know that there are tanning products that particularly targeted to tanning your face but this method does the trick for me - and it's cheaper!

Overall, this is a great product to use if you want to gradually build up colour until you are happy with its intensity. It is both moisturising and simple to use, which means it is fuss free and does not take too long to apply. Plus, it smells divine so this lotion is an absolute winner in my books and I would highly recommend it! What do you think of this product? Have you tried it before? Please let me know by leaving a comment below!

Garnier Summer Body retails at around £5.10 for a 250ml bottle and is widely available from drugstores and supermarkets.

Scrub It Up: Super Beauty's Raspberry and Cranberry Body Scrub

Hi guys, I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter weekend so far! Today I thought that I would do a quick post to show you this amazing body scrub that I picked up on Friday. Seeing as the weather has slightly improved lately in the UK, we are finally able to start showing a little more skin and donning our spring/summer wardrobes. However, after not seeing much daylight during winter, we can often neglect our bodies during this time. With that in mind and some spare change in my purse, I popped into my local Boots in search of a body scrub to bring my dry skin back to life. Initially I had the urge to buy my all time favourite body scrub, (Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush Scrub,) but as I am on a bit of a budget at the moment, I begrudgingly resisted. So, that is when I came across this alternative from Super Beauty.

Admittedly, I had never heard of this brand before but I found a couple of their products on the shelf; including a rather delicious smelling Coconut and Acai Bath & Shower Gel. Seeing as I am trying to save money at the moment, the main reason why I was drawn to this particular scrub was its price tag - which was reduced from
£4.99 to just £2.49! Secondly, the smell of this product is heavenly. The mixture of raspberry and cranberry is really lovely and is almost good enough to eat! Not only this but this is not run of the mill scrub either, this product claims to have a brightening effect on the skin too! As for the results after just one use, my skin feels a lot smoother already. The beads in the scrub are very gentle and not too abrasive or rough, so even those of us with sensitive or irritable skin should be able to use this product too. My skin has certainly improved already but I think I may need to use it a few more times on my more stubborn, dry areas to see a more noticeable result.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this scrub. Not only does it do the trick in terms of body exfoliation but it is a real bargain, as well as smelling delicious - what more could you ask for? Of course, if I had the option I would have gone for my trusty Soap & Glory scrub as mentioned above, but this is certainly a great alternative for the budget concious like myself! What do you think of this scrub? Have you tried any products from the Super Beauty range? Please let me know in comments below!

Rimmel London's Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector

Hi guys. Now that spring and summer are fast approaching here in the UK, it's time to whip out our skirts and dresses and embrace this wonderful change in weather. However, after hiding away our bodies during the majority of winter, we are probably all a little bit on the pasty side - unless you are a religious fake tanner all year round! After noticing my own paleness ahead of a girls night out, I decided to quickly nip into my local Boots in search of an instant fake tan that didn't break the bank. This is when I came across Rimmel London's Sun Shimmer Instant Tan 9-in-1 BB Perfector (£6.99) and I was intrigued to say the least. Of course we have all heard of BB creams for our faces by now but the thought of a BB body product excited me a lot!

Rimmel claim that this is a 9-in-1 product that softens, smoothes, moisturises, gives an instant tan, creates a healthy looking glow, evens out your skin tone, covers, perfects and lasts up to 24 hours. Now, that is an awfully big list of promises to make but I really do think that it does most of those things pretty well! This new product comes in two shades; Light Matte and Medium Matte. On the back of the packaging is a little table that tells you the intensity and the desired look that you can achieve with both shades. The light version has an intensity level of 1 that gives you a natural sunkissed look, whereas the medium has an intensity level of 2 that achieves a healthy bronzed glow.

I decided to opt for the light version as I didn't want to go too over the top. That night, my friend whom I was going out with helped me apply the product using a tanning mitt. You could use your hands if you prefer, although a tanning mitt does tend to give a nicer, more even finish. Seeing as using this product was a last minute decision on my behalf, I did not have the time to exfoliate and moisturise like I usually would before applying any type of tanning product. However, the creamy and thick texture of the lotion meant that it did not cling on to any dry patches of skin and it glided on seamlessly! With that being said, as well as the two instant tan shades, the brand have also brought out a Sun Shimmer Pre Tan Exfoliator (£3.99) which could come in handy, though any body scrub or exfoliator (or even exfoliating gloves) would do the trick.

All in all, the end result was lovely! Just like Rimmel claimed on the packaging, I got an instant tan that made me look super healthy and that evened out my skin tone, whilst being moisturising and softening at the same time. I am very glad that I decided to go for the light version as the finish was much darker than I first anticipated, meaning that I had to bronze up my face a lot in order for it to match my body - though that was to be expected! The only thing I would say that I do not think that this formula does last for up to 24 hours, although it is still very long wearing and it lasted extremely well seeing as I was in a clubbing environment. The next day, all I had to do to remove the product was simply use a loofah and some shower gel and viola, it was gone!

Unfortunately, no matter I did with my camera, I was not able to get a good swatch of the tan on my hand before and after application, so I have included this photo of me and my friends before we went out instead. I am on the far right and as you can see, despite being a light tan, the outcome was very dark. My friend (far left) uses St Moriz's Dark Mousse Tan (£4.99) and we both look similar in colour here! I'm not sure if I applied the tan a little too thick, so I might try and be really stingy with the amount of product next time to see if I can achieve a more natural look.

Overall, this new Sun Shimmer product has definitely impressed me and I have a feeling I am going to be using it a lot from now on! Have you tried this product yet? What do you think of it? Please let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment below. Thank you!

My First Ever Lush Products

Hi guys. This may come as a shock to a lot of you but up until now, I have never tried any Lush products (although I have always wanted to) and I really do not know the reason why! Granted, my nearest Lush store is about a 35-40 minute drive away and I do not often have a reason to travel to this particular shopping centre. However, I was lucky enough to be bought some Lush products as Christmas presents. I received a couple of bits from my best friend Laura and her Mum, which was really sweet, as well as a festive themed gift box from my boyfriend. So, today I thought that I would share with you my favourite products from the bunch. Let's get started!

Creamy Candy Bubble Bar - £2.50 each
This bubble bar is definitely my favourite of the bunch! As you can probably tell from the title, it has a lovely candy floss scent. Usually, I hate overly sweet scents but this one is really subtle. As I am a bit of a Lush beginner, I had to Google how to use a bubble bar and all you have to do is simply crumble a little bit of it under a running tap and it creates bubbles. I love how, unlike bath bombs, you can get multiple uses out of this product - which is great seeing as this one is my favourite! The bar also turned my bath water a baby pink, which was really nice. Not only this, the creamy texture of the bubble bar made me skin really soft and I got a few compliments on how I smelt, which shows how much this gorgeous scent lingers too. This product is definitely a winner!

Lord Of Misrule Bath Bomb - £3.30 each
Next up is this Christmas-themed bath bomb. Looking at it's green exterior, I presumed that when I dropped this product into the bath the water would, of course, turn green. However, after dissolving for a little while, I noticed that the core of this bomb was a deep red/wine colour which eventually made it look like my bath was full of Ribenna or something! Not only was I amazed by the colour of my bath, the products scent was really lovely. According to Lush's website, this bomb includes vanilla mixed with black pepper and patchouli oil (whatever that is!) In addition, and unsurprisingly, Lord Of Misrule also made my skin feel really silky!

Karma Bubble Bar - £3.25 each
Last but not least is yet another lovely bubble bar, Karma. When I first unpackaged this particular bar, its bright and swirly design drew me in instantly. Doing exactly the same as I did with the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar, I broke off a fraction of the bar and crumbled it under the tap and was extremely pleased with the results. Karma produced a great amount of bubbles (though slightly less than Creamy Candy,) dyed the water a pastel orange/pink and it's fruity scent was heavenly. If any of you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know that my favourite scents are usually fruity and light. The final bonus with this bar, as with every Lush product, was that my skin was left feeling lovely and incredibly nourished.

I hope that you all enjoyed reading about my first ever experience using Lush products. I am definitely hooked on this amazing brand and have already been browsing at what products I want to buy for myself next after I finish up all of the gifts that I received. What are your favourite Lush products? Let me know down below. Thank you :)
